My mom recently passed away and I got some inheritance money. I used to take her shooting and I think I wanna use some of the money towards a nice .338 rifle that I can use behind my house. I miss her but I dont think she would be angry if I used the money towards something we both loved. Suggestions on which rifle to get: FNH Ballista, Barret MRAD, or Remington MSR. I've also heard good things about the savage 110 line and the Sako TRG line of rifles. looking for accuracy, I dont care about price or weight as I'm bench shooting and have a high budget.

A fried has a ba 110 338 and it's nice. But we can't really find a place to stretch it out. 829 yards has been the furthest we were able to shoot it safely, and that's something you could do with a 308 and not get tired of the recoil.
Just my 2 cents but I'd go for a ruger precision rifle in 6.5 creedmoor with a really good optic like nightforce or s&b. Still be able to reach out, but it won't kill your shoulder or wallet and suppressing it would be much cheaper. Or just get a sr25 and deck it out with a good optic, clip on night vision, ect.
Sorry about your loss by the way.

>FNH Ballista
can't go wrong with FNH

Just be like the EL33T 0P3R8T0R5 and get a Remington MSR, even though it's inferior to its competition.

DTA is still the best bang for you buck in the world of multicaliber rifles. Get behind one if you can and try it out. Otherwise, I would say look at the AI AT or AXMC.
