Anyone have any experience with the C308? I ordered one last week from Classic for $430 after rebate. Seemed like too good of a deal to pass up, even though it's a Century.
What I want to know is if a surplus G3 lower assembly can go on this gun. I did a lot of searching and I'm getting a good mix of both yes and no without a definite answer. I'm not familiar with what "clipped and pinned" means or if the lower needs to be to go on this rifle.
Anyone have experience with this?

It's my understanding that the PTR-91 is much better and worth the few hundred extra.

Already bought it. I see you didn't read the post.

Did you happen to not read the past five threads within the last week saying why its a piece of shit? Just another century built sack of hot garbage trying to borrow some legitimacy from a company that possibly just provided them with receiver flats and stuff.

I have one of their old cetmes. Got lucky and got one that functions well. The barrel/trunion were put on the receiver at an angle so it shoots about 10ft high at 100yds. Can't adjust the sights enough to compensate for it. Muzzle brake blew off the barrel after about 50 rounds.

If it's like the PTR, you can't without modification. The G3 lower uses pins front and back, while the PTRs are set up with only one pin and a ledge, latch, w/e.
HK Forums would be a good place for further research, many thread detailing different changeover procedures with PTRs CETMEs to G3 internals, etc

This holy fuck mods should just close these threads.

This. No Century is a "good deal".

That kind of performance is functioning well?
