When did corrosive ammo stop being made?
It didn't.

Never, it's still made
>>34708907
its still made in russia and ex block countries for its indefinite shelf life.

>>34708921
So all Russian military ammo is corrosive?
>>34708907
1953 for .30-06 Garand Ammo

Sometime phasing through the 50-s through 70s, berdan primers and such.
Honestly, I hate cleaning my guns, so I'd rather pay a few bucks than to fire 350 rounds of corrosive all day then having to dump water etc.
I still buy some Chink 7.62x39 for my CZ858.

'Bout the time your dad stopped being a cuck.

>indefinite shelf life.
Can you explain this to me? Why is corrosive better and why can't you make non-corrosive with a similar shelf life?
>>34709282
Berdan primers arent inherently corrosive, they're just a different style of case-primer interface.
>>34711117
the chemicals used are more stable than modern powders.those same chemicals are what makes it corrosive
>>34711615
Is it all in the powder though, I thought alot of it, not all had to do with the primer compound
>>34711621
its both
>>34711257
>Berdan primers arent inherently corrosive
yet the meme lives on. Berdan primed swiss GP11 is a great example of non-corrosive berdan primer milsurp
