Is this shit any good?
>>
>>34705626
No.
>>
>>34705626
It's good just don't drop it in a bucket of water
>>
Completely reasonable red dot if you're on a budget. Check out the Holosun HS503G. Seems neat.

My PA MD ADS (basically same thing) has been quite solid for over 3k rounds. 12 brightness settings, durable, 5 year battery life.

The solar Holosuns are straight meme shit though IMO.

>>
>>34705659
In what scenario would you be dropping a gun with a red dot into a bucket of water?
>>
>>34705626

Yes, PA red dots are rebranded HoloSuns.

Chinese military uses them and they're pretty robust and decent, but personally I would save up for something like a Trijicon MRO for not that much more.

Can't cowitness with an AK

For a plinker or range toy they are a very good deal at around $200-$250. I would consider the HS503GU good enough for a home defense weapon as well.

Anything you would be using hard and possibly beating on, look at Aimpoint or Trijicon.

Don't ever buy shit locally, buy on the web you retard

Amazon and Ebay are your friends

anyone have experience with their reflex sight?

i am seriously considering buying their 510 today
>>
>>34706791

Is that actually a true holographic laser sight like an EoKek or just a projected led red dot?
>>
>>34706728
I´d mostly use it for the range.I´m not really planning on torture testing the thing, Maybe I´ll get something better later on and use the Holosun as a backup or on another gun.

>>34706790
What are you on about? Of course I´m buying on the web. But I´m a europoor and we don´t exactly have a lot of red-dots on eBay or Amazon. And if I buy one on US-ebay, it´s just as much as it´s here+ it´ll take forever to ship here.

>>
>>34705626
yes. They're very sturdy, accurate, lightweight, and inexpensive optics. I like my 503c more than my aimpoint pro and trijicon MRO
>>
>>34706599
Holosuns are every bit as good as MROs.
>>
>>34705698
I have one of the solar power ones and it works as advertised, hows it a meme?
>>
>>34708842
>I like my 503c more than my aimpoint pro and trijicon MRO

Can you explain why? I don't know much about red dots in general
>>
>>34709886
Not that guy, but I've owned a PRO and it's substantially heavier than the Holosun and Aimpoint micro series. Can't say much about the MRO, but many people have been complaining about its lack of true 1x view and glare.
>>
>>34705626

Decent optics. Not as durable as an Aimpoint, but a fourth of the price. If you want a slight upgrade with a better reticle, get a Sig Romeo 4. They can be had for 30-50 more than a holosun, but the quality of the reticle is noticeably better. They also have an excellent warranty. My holosun died, and my Sig is a fantastic replacement

Yup. Considering the fact that cheap as fuck optics and sights are sold at my local Kmart (Wouldn't bother using em unless it's a pellet gun), they're as good as it can get in price for plinking, competing or whatever the fuck you do in your home. Also good for chink cartoon puns

Bruh the Sig Romeo 4 is a Holosun. The chassis looks the exact same and you get the exact same features. The fact that Sig isn't transparent about their sourcing is very suspect.
>>
>>34706597
tragic boating accident
>>
>>34709944
>>34709969

Ive heard this. I still don't care.

Sig has a good warranty. My Holosun stopped working and after two emails they told me to fuck myself. Also, I've compared 2 Sigs and 2 holosuns side by side, and in both cases the reticle was visibly better in both of the sigs, and I have astigmatism that makes bad red dots even worse.

Whether or not theyre the same optic is irrelevant. The price difference isnt enough to justify losing out on the above.
>>
>>34710000
Also I forgot to mention, the Sig doesnt have the same green tint the holosun has.
>>
>>34710012
The fuck kind of holosun did you have?

Mine's as clear as my T1.
>>
>>34710000
Post e-mail and visual comparison please. I want to see the difference.
>>
>>34710027
Here's the weird tint on the holosun. The reticle doesn't work right anymore so all I can do is describe it. Whether or not magnified it looked like a V shap, and my astigmatism made it look even worse.

>>34710323
The tint is still there, but much less noticeable on the Romeo. Also notice how clean the dot is, even when magnified.
>>
>>34710323
What model is this?

Because my 503GU doesn't have any kind of tint.
>>
>>34705626
Best you can get for under trijicon prices. I've only heard good things.
>>
>>34710366
HS403 from 2016 IIRC.
>>
>>34710424
Makes sense

the 400 series were nowhere near as good.

the 500 series is what the romeo is based on, and it's exactly like your picture, Holosun stepped their shit up.

I can't even discern any tint with mine if I'm honest, but that's probably my eyes.
>>
>>34710434
Well that's pretty neat if so. Do they have a warranty on their new stuff? If so I'll pick one up when it's time for a new optic. In still pissed about this one being FUBAR.
>>
>>34710480
Warranty seems good to go for me.

I haven't had a bad experience with their customer service.

My high mount had a one in a million screw that literally wasn't threaded, so they sent me out a new high mount for free.
>>
>>34710502
For what it's worth, the vortex sparc is garbage. A worse reticle with less brightness settings, and it's heavier and bigger with more obstructed field of view
>>
>>34710542
Yeah I'm not a fan of the Vorblue Sapphire.

Actually I'm not a fan of anything they make.
>>
>>34709935
welcome to europe, you dont know how blessed you are in the US.
>>
>>34705626
I have a 403G mounted on my AK for about two years. No POI shift and no problem with heat from the Ultimak gas tube. For the price, I cannot complain.

Also, cowitness is a fucking meme. Just get a quick mount.
>>
>>34709924
Having looked through the MRO (not getting after you, just sharing what I know), all the talk about it not being a true 1x are huge exaggerations. There's a slight bit of distortion, but you have to be focusing so hard to see it that you wouldn't even be aiming at that point. A lot of people forget that red dots are meant for speed above all else.

I cannot speak from personal experience, but Russian military special forces units have been using them in Syria and have had good things to say, although units with better budgets like SSO tend to gravitate more towards more premium optics like eotechs and aimpoints.
>>
>>34710000
That's weird, just last week I contacted them about a problem with mine and they sent me a new one plus a shipping label for the return.
>>
>>34709935
>>34710568
There are always 2 sides of the coin.
When was the last time you saw a Python for under $1000? Can you still get new, russian-made AKs?
>>
>>34706791
I've read several reviews saying it was good when they worked but have a high failure rate.

Yes. They are probably the best "budget" optics you can get. Right now Im rocking the ACSS paralow from primary arms until Aimpoint makes a Micro Red dot with the ACSS themselves.

there really arent. AKs are even worse than ARs, since its illegal where i am to change anything in the firing mechanism of the rifle, i cant convert veprs or saigas to take standard magazines. Doesnt matter though since the gunstores dont have any in stock ever anyways. WASRs were sold for ~850€ but now you cant find them anywhere except used ones. its honestly complete shit in every aspect.

lmao

I love how he starts talking shit about the hi-cut helmets americans wear.

"In occasion of helmets without ears. Why is he needed without ears? For beauty, pontovee look. Just like the "American Special Forces." Well, buy if you need."
>>
>>34712885
Hahah kinda funny but most wear them so they can have ear pro with comms with a helmet on.
