Should I get? I have $10 to blow and a Romanian AK mag pouch that needs a belt.
>>34703617
Got one of these baby's coming through the mail. Got it with the little backpack too.

No idea how rare it is out of south africa but I got this on Saturday
Bophuthatswana Police Jacket
Medium
No camo joe label so I would assume this is original issue
>>34706276
They fit jeans belt loops perfectly.
>>34706588
Nice, I like the pattern. I wonder if ASAT was based on it.
>>34706588
The BDU cut seems odd. I've not known them to use that. Nice find either way though.
>>34706855
Yeah its a strange which is kinda what drew me to this particular jacket. I'll have to do some digging and see if the BDU Cut was normal
Hello, milsurp collectors. I'm starting to gear up for the winter, what is in your opinion, the warmest surplus coat? Currently got a Czech M65 parka with liner, but there were days last year where it didn't quite cut it, and I had to wear some layers. Also the wind tends to cut into the strip of buttons down the chest.
>>34707846
US M65 with wool liner will keep you as warm as you need to be in anything warmer than 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
>>34706969
That's totally normal. Something like pic related is not.

And my new shit isn't coming for another week or two.
>>34710408
I touch myself during the day too
>>34707973
Looks pretty cool but I saw some of those a while back, were being sold as Fantasy Reproductions. Basically making a Slangvel out of material that they wouldn't have actually used. One in Strichtarn or Puma would make me hard as diamonds

Does Japanon buy direct from south africa?
East German rain camo rpg pack, I bought this at a gun show for $40 and can't find ANY info about it online. Any help would be much appreciated.

Only hard to get items, like S2000.
I did get my Rhodie from SA, only thing is shipping is brutal.

ATTN Berlin Surpbros
I'm taking a trip to Berlin somewhere in september and I'm planning on checking out some surp. Most notably a BW moleskin parka and BW Gats (hallenschuhe).
Any notable shops around? Fleamarkets? Any and all recommendations?
>>34713213
Every sunday (or saturday) there is a massive fleamarket in former east berlin near a subway station although I can't remember which one. There is always some neat surp there.
You also have MC Trend which is the weirdest surp store I've ever seen. The guy has a lot of surp but he charges 1 euro for you to get inside.
>>34713335
Thanks bud, noted.
So to Japanon, or anyone with vast knowledge... where is the best and importantly, cost saving source for Transkei stuff? I'm mainly after shirts in not so big sizes and as dumb as it may be, I tend to stray from the bay
>>34714260
No problem. I really recommend MC Trend. Just seeing the amount of stuff he has is worth 1 euro
>>34714950
this stuff works very well

>>34714950
Would love to see a BW parka with Blumen-/Kartoffel-/Flächentarn
>>34714324
Sizes are in whatever is left, and unfortunately ebay.uk is about the last steady, cheapest source of it.
So in China, a US large is actually a 3xl
>>34717587
Dat sum forest fire camo?
>>34717631
Maybe. I had a choice. This or 16 gigs of RAM.
>>34717685
Looks like something out of a 90's rap/hip hop video.
>>34717685
Since there's no /msg/ up, I'll post here. I won my Gunbroker auction and got my first rifle, ever. Gewehr 98, marked Amberg 1917, excellent bore with no Turkshit/import markings.
Seeing as she'll be on the way soon, does /k/ know anything about good 8mm Mauser to feed it? What about stripper clips?
>>34718950
Most stripper clips for 8mm work pretty well. I like the Privi Partisan 8mm, surplus (non-corrosive), and the Seller and Belot hunting rounds. You'll need some time to get used to the lange-vizier sights on that gun. You have some balls, I'll give you that.
>>34719015
>You have some balls, I'll give you that.
lol, thanks I guess. I'm pretty well used to the old-style Mauser sights already, as I have an airshit K98 that inspired my love of German rifles. Having most of my left/right sight picture obscured will be interesting, to say the least.
Any suggestions for cleaning, storage, etc?
>>34718950
How much did it cost? I want one pretty badly, but am a poorfag
>>34719077
The rifle may shoot rather high for you unless the front sight was shaved down, so be prepared to play with it at the range. Sounds obvious, but a gunsafe would be best for storage, but a nice rifle bag will do until you get to that point. Keep the rifle well oiled to avoid rusting and corrosion over time. I use Slip 2000 EWL and I've had fairly good results on my guns and knives over time. For cleaning, CLP, Hoppes no.9, and Slip 2000 are my go-to's. There is some debate to bore snake use, but I clean the bore with a combo of pull-through snakes and brass cleaning rod use.
>>34719132
I ended up paying about $660, $60 more than what I wanted to max out at but some cunt was trying to snipe me at the last minute.
This one is in VERY good shape for the age, being literally a 100 year old rifle this year. Might wanna look for a Turkshit one if you're uber-poorfag, but if you're wanting a quality one that works well and isn't god-awful expensive, the Yugo/Czech ones are always a good bet.
I stipulated that mine had to be German because I'm a teutophile faggot.
>>34719159
Both of my great grandfathers served in WWII and my great-great grandfather served in WWI. I know the feeling, I want a gun that's connected to my heritage as corny as that sounds. I've heard the Russian-capture ones work really well and don't cost an arm and a leg
>>34719158
...Damn, that's a pretty rifle. I'll be sure to grab some oil when I get to the gun store next time, which also happens to be where I'll be sending it for the FFL transfer. Is getting one of those laser bore sights worth it or are those a meme?
>>34719177
Rather meme tier, being completely honest. The rifle that I posted is a 1938 K98 that was given to me as a broken, rusty gun that I put some money and loving elbow grease into. Bought a new, period correct stock and the thing shoots like a laser beam.
>>34719217

I do hate seeing people paying out the ass for flecktarn and I think rhodieboos shouldn't collect militaria because they overpay for some faded, tattered shit
In other news, im expecting an SADF Eland driver helmet and headset tomorrow
>>34725678
And when I say Rhodieboos, I mean people obsessed with just Rhodesia, collecting it amongst other stuff is chill

SPG had some Honduran camo, I think it was just made out of excess fabric though.

Is there a name for retro-modern mixtures of uniforms/equipment?
It sure has its own charm.
>>34729473
Yeah, goofy looking.
how trustworthy is trident? their site and order form looks so outdated that it almost looks sketchy
>>34731193
Because it is. Their website hasn't been touched or manned since the 90's when they were trustworthy and actually had stuff.
Allegedly their ebay is still up and running but even then nobody wants to touch that.
Guys, I'm trying to get my hands on some badged/patched French surp. How fucked am I? I can find those F1 and F2 jackets in CCE pattern but noting in my size and nothing with patches or insignia. Is it possible to get a hold of?
>>34731648
Almost every Yuro country requires insignia to be removed prior to surplusing uniforms.
I've only seen a handful of badged French stuff, and it was usually only the rank.
some new shit, overcoat m/1941, P69 jacket, british 1950s pattern bush jacket, KD shorts 1948, and an aertex shirt without tag. can someone help me identify if the shirt is post war or not?
recommended websites for us buyers for stuff?
thanks in advance
>>34733664
Any good?
$25 d-did I do good /k/
>>34731497
have you had any experience with them recently?
>>34734623
It's alright for a cheap mass-produced blanket.
Relatively thick and warm, though it looks and feels like a rug from a small cabin in the middle of the woods.
>>34734699
You did okay son. 20-30 bucks is the standard price for regular Soviet caps.
>>34734751
I bought from their eBay page about a year ago and it went ok
What is the sizing like for the US woodland shirts?
>>34735296
Despite being labeled a ACU sizing chart, it isnt. This system has been used since Vietnam, so have at it.

Does anyone here collect Nazi stuff? Anyone want to start? I know originals are hard to come by and identify, but with all the forums around it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

Damn, that puffles my flimflops. I have the stupidest need to obtain jackets and shirts with at least the national flags on them... I don't know why
>>34738699
I'm the same way.
If you get a new jacket with velcro you can just buy the flag patch separate and put it on, if you get an older one like mine you could try to find one of the old brassards with the flag on it.
>>34711281
Hm, all I can tell you about it is that it was made in the 3rd quarter of 1967, also this is right before they started using date codes instead of what year it was.
Pretty cool, desu
>>34736491
Here's hoping they surplus those when they make the new Afghan uniforms.
Fapla camo worth buying?
>>34733664
Hej merk, do you have any photo proof of Estonians wearing p69?
>>34739359
That's a pretty legit point though. I just love the look of uniforms with flags and assorted insignia. I was trying to get my hands on a nice Serbian field shirt with the flag and a paramilitary unit patch but that didn't pan out so well... the struggle, she be a real one
Estland impression
>>34742406
There are tons of images of Estonian troops wearing basic M39 and M59 uniforms, but I can't say I've ever seen any P69s in the mix.
