Any other rootin' tootin' cowboy shootin' lever action fans? I can't get over the ascetics of these guns.
For those with experience what sold you in the first place? I'm in the market for a lightweight .22 lever action for varmints and plinking, general ranch gun so to speak, and was wondering if a cheapo Henry carbine does the job alright or if I should put in a little more and get a browning Mini Midas or an old marlin 39A mountie.

Perhaps you should google for in-depth reviews? I mean, asking 4chan isn't really a good jumping-off point.
But if you want my opinion, lever-action .22's are fucking pointless as fugg.

as useless as these?
Is there actually a market for all this tacticool crap on a lever-action? Who would want this?
I want a new leveraction.
I have a 357/38 rossi 92.
22lr henry
I want something bigger.
I like 30-30 but it doesnt feel much different than 357 to shoot.
45-70 I havent had a chance to shoot yet but like the idea of giant boolits.
45 or 44 magnum seem neat too.
What do you guys suggest? I don't hunt and only shoot at range.
Id like to reload whatever I get.
R8?

Note to self: get what this guy has.
My dad bought me this 1984 Browning BLR .22-250 off of his friend, who sold it to him for like $250 bucks because they both wanted me to have it rather than someone else. The action on it is so smooth and it shoots pretty accurately.
I wanna return him the favor by buying him a 30-30 (I'm thinking Marlin 336).

It's not too bad if you live in gun grabber country like Australia, where you cant own a semi auto...
does anybody make a non tube loading .22lr lever gun?
I don't like tube loaders but i like the idea of a levergat plinker

Get something in .357 if you're wanting a ranch gun. Much more fun, and more viable against larger animals.
