thanks, it's actually my first ak74 as well. I bought them both at the same time and they showed up the same day. The only other AK i've had was a wasr and this thing screams quality compared to it, not saying the wasr is bad I love it.

Man, the obzor is a beauty. It's probably one of the coolest optics i've seen. Can't wait to show fudds at the range. I'm proud im apart of the elite club now.

I know the grip you mean. I really want to find the flat-looking trigger and the birdcage flash hider. Handguards, stock, and dust cover eventually.

This grip has impressed me, feels like a natural evolution of the fat "modern" Izhmash grip. Internal compartment fits all your standard cleaning kit tools and has a vial for oil. Beavertail is comfy in the hand. Downside is giving up the durability of the traditional long screw.

I've tried just about every "enhanced" safety on the market with the exception of some extremely obscure Russian bolt-on kits. My favorite is the Alfa Arms, it's flat as you said, but the ledge is slightly smaller and more angled than the Armacon or Ratnik.

Obviously 1P87s are available now since they're on GRAU and contracted but as far as I know the 300 and 400 magnifier haven't been given GRAU numbers. Not knurled and smaller ledge, yes. Different strokes. The polish one's ledge is way too large for my liking.

My favorite part about this Ratnik one is the finish. Perfect semi-gloss black to match my SGL Most of these enhanced safeties are parkerized or mismatch in other ways.

But that shit is almost useless unless you have a 22 barrel specifically meant to use it.
I've knocked clays out of the air at the skeet range with it from a barrel meant for it.
It takes some luck to get a hit on a stationary clay at 10 feet from a rifled barrel.

What would you define as cheap?
If you want them under $30, try Apex, gunbroker, armslist or ebay.

Any cheaper than that and I am going to say get hunting at local Flea markets, estate sales (many mention firearm parts in the ads), craigslist, surplus stores and any weird gunshops in your area that havent left 1991. I personally have a couple gunshops in my area that have just boxes of old parts and shit that a person can rummage through for hours. I always find neat shit that I really dont need. I would be willing to bet you have them near you too if you drive around and look (theyre probably not online, mine arent).
And remember that great finds come to those whom wait. If you are not in a hurry, you will find them even cheaper. Apex especially always has holiday blowout sales. Check them frequently

Extra bolt won't headspace correctly unless you're lucky. I wouldn't worry about that anyways, I mean how often do you hear about an AK bolt shitting out. If the p2000sk is anything like the p30sk I have, it's going to feel fucking huge without the right holster and positioning. You can basically forget about carrying aiwb because unless you wear baggy as fuck clothes it's going to look like you're up-tucking an erection.

I like the p30sk but it's terribly chunky for a 10+1 9mm and the trigger pull is obscenely long, albeit smooth all the way to the break.

As far as I know the P30sk is just as thick as a standard P30. I was really wanting one because I love my P30L and I really liked my other P30s but that's pretty thick. I'd prefer the P2ksk just because it's slightly thinner, but still nearly doubling the thickness of my PPS for only like three rounds max more is something I'm not sure about doing. I really want the same light LEM trigger in my carry gun as I have in my primary sidearm though, that's a big reason why I'm considering it. The PPS has an alright trigger but I'm not that much of a fan of striker fired triggers and having one trigger between both my P30L and carry gun would be nice to have

I also just kind of want to have a compact carry option, something bigger than the PPS but smaller than the BHP
