It's like 400 dollars for the excaliber conversion kit. You can get the frames separate from the kit for like 45 dollars but not the slides, barrels, and recoil springs. It costs almost as much as just buying a g26 or g43.

I was a CA resident as of that point in time.

Additionally mere possession of 11+ capacity magazines is not illegal in CA. Only the importation, manufacture, or sale. The law that tried to make possession illegal was blocked in federal court this year right after it went into effect.

On top of that, the possession of magazines would have only been an infraction payable by a cheap ticket and confiscation of the magazines. Not even a misdemeanor.
