Anyone ever seen or used one of the Ghost holsters? they seem decent, and I like the switch release for quick access and preventing it from falling out/being taken.

But it also seems kind of gimicky and akward to wear.

The fact is that the board you are posting unrelated content in is /k/: weapons. I mention the Walker because in the book the protagonist and many of the scalphunters use the saddle pistols as they were originally intended to be used. They shoot out opposing horseback riders' mounts. When they themselves are dismounted, they prop the heavy pistols up on cover (across the saddle, neck of their mounts, rocks, logs, etc while lying prone and utilize them as little rifles, as Capt. Samuel Walker intended for them to be used in his design to Samuel Colt. We often see the unwieldy Walker carried on the hip in most westerns, seeing it used as it actually was intended is refreshing and the entire concept of saddle pistols is often overlooked/ forgotten in all of the swagger and gunfighting of most western films/ literature. Breaking in a new Milt Sparks now, it's very comfortable. Snaps take some getting used to though, but when they're on properly they aren't going anywhere.

The grip never feels like it sticks out under my shirt. I'm not really worried about printing in general, though.

The belt clip is kind of wide and slick, so the claw keeps things from sliding around my waist. That is a nice bonus. I think the best setup would be 2 height adjust clips for comfort and best draw.
