Has anyone ever tried to do this? I bought a windows MCT pmag recently and realized how much I hate my non-windowed ones now. I'm ordering a couple more windowed ones, but since I have marked all my non-windowed ones like the gear queer I am I doubt anyone will buy them. Anyone try to cut out the panels of the regular Pmags on one or both sides? Does it hold up at all? Not going to crawl around in the dust or play Verdun 1915.

Experiment yourself. They're $10. Imo it's a dumb idea.

DO IT!!!

Will they just assplode outwards and leave me with a stub stuck in the magwell and the spring jagged into my knee?

DDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOO IT!!!
Cutting out the whole panels seems like overkill.
I'd just do about like this.
And maybe arrange some clear tape over the holes to keep shit out.

Nah, but it sure could snap in half if you dropped the rifle with it in.

I like this idea best. Just drill some holes maybe even cut some clear acrylic sheet to cover. May work better than tape.

Or just buy the windowed mags?

Digressing from PMAGs, some mags' structures leave space where you can make a window with a panel that's inside without it touching anything moving. Like this BX25 I did.

that's bury nice m8
Just trace your cut and go to town with a dremel and leave it open. Its not like you are using them in a combat zone where sand is a problem.Plenty of people do this with AK mags.

why dont you just buy the pmags with the windows already in them?

and toss your non-windowed ones/ send them to me
