Well... For poorfag shotguns I'd say Maverick 88, H&R Pardner or Stevens 320.

Don't go for a single barrel break action. Only point in having it is to be able to say you have a shotgun or to have a shotgun that you're not afraid of ruining with exotic handloads. That's about it.
Also always check armslist and other classified sites. Found some pretty good shit on there.
