I went to a gun show when after Sandy Hook. I had been buying guns off of guys who were PCSing or separating for cheap for about two years. Sold ARs for no less than 1500 and various pistols for 125% MSRP. One guy who bought an AR was doing an "expose" for the local Seattle new channel. Guy asked me how I felt about having sold a gun to a potential mass murderer. I asked him how it felt to have paid almost three times what a gun was worth and being reported to the police for threatening statements.

And gun safety really isn't that difficult, it doesn't require any "training" all you need to know is A) the extreme basics like checking gun, trigger discipline, no sweeping and B) FUCKING FOLLOW THESE RULES AT ALL TIMES, NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER

Safety isn't hard with guns, what's hard is remembering to do it every time. My mom is uneasy around guns and something I show her to ease her conscience is I check the gun thoroughly even if I set it on the table for .5 seconds. No exeptions, if it leaves my hand it gets checked.

Yeah OT dosent have a safety course, ive never taken one there, ive taken people who were new shooters, and we told them as such and they never had to take a safety course, just sign the waivers. The only bad thing ive ever had at OT was when i took my new 4570 to that range i got a lot of stinkeyes from everyone for shooting it at an inside range, but i wasent kicked off or anything.
