>red dot sights with fixed front sights on AR-15s/M4/M16s
It's oddly aesthetic to me
Standard grip/stock with bigass clipazine
E.g. Ares, M14

Pardon?
BUMP

I like it from a practical perspective too. I know plenty of people that hate having anything obstruct their view, but I like having my optic absolute co-witnessing.
Even though they've sort of fallen out of favor, I still enjoy full quad rails.

What's the advantage of absolute vs lower 1/3? Especially with a fixed front sight
chrome and light colored wood with coin inlays

Wat
Wood.

Consistent cheek weld is touted as the main advantage.
I tried it and I couldn't get the dot right on top of the front sight and my autism ruined me so I got a lower 1/3.

>red dot with no front sight
>gets smashed/battery dies/EMP meme
>"oh well, I didn't need to aim anyway."

Dude we've been over this a hundred times, you aren't breaking a good red dot (Aimpoint, Trijicon, hell even Holosun or Vortex) and in the event it does break your face is also probably broken so to be perfectly frank, iron sights don't belong on modern AR-15s.

I assume he is talking about something like pic related, yeah it is is sexy. Also see Beretta 92 grips with inlays.

You are not alone. I'm seriously considering a m16a4 clone as my next rifle and throwing either a XPS2 or an Aimpoint on it.
I love ACOGs on carry handles. The cheekwield so bad the look so Somalia fabulous..
Anything with tapco furniture
I have a hard on for "making do" with what you have. This extends to Rhodesians capturing RPDs and sawing them down, SEALs chopping the stocks off their M60s back in Vietnam

But shooting irons is fun
But yeah a soldier at basic training should be issued an M16 with an acog so he can shoot at a NATO silhouette at like 300-500 meters. Especially if they're a POG.

>OD green
why are hk416s more aesthetic than any other armalite style rifle

?

think again sweety
>>34680893
For me it's the lack of that big ring that connects the foregrip to the reciever, combined with the short barrel that you usually see on M416 pictures. 416s with long barrels don't look that great to me.
>>34680878
I actually quite like the look of stocks that collapse like that, and how they're just so in line with the receiver. That and slim barrel jackets like that CETME and how the older AR-10s had.

the best color

>I still enjoy full quad rails
I enjoy the RIS II rails, most notably the FSP cutout on a 14.5" barrel. I'd buy an upper with one and I don't even shoot my ARs anymore.
