My lgs is selling these for $299. Should I do it? Anyone have experiences with one of these? I've heard mixed things about ruger handguns in the past.

Ruger SR series are wonderful budget pistols. I have an SR9C and the trigger is fantastic. Just get used to having to sling shot your slide to chamber rounds. Slide stop on those guns is ONLY a slide stop. Requires retard strength to try to use it as a slide release as it's not intended to be used as such.
