OP here, I have no idea why this map is called The Great Northern War when that war actually took place in 1700-1721.

I'd say WWII in a lot of ways just left us sort of where we left off after WWI, but even worse. That's why I consider WWI to have been a lot worse, in spite of the smaller death toll.

Also the Balkans and the Middle East especially are still hot spots that'll probably never be resolved because of how the victors of WWI handled the drawing of borders.

The fact is that the Germans should have won on the Eastern front, the complete obliteration of the Soviet Union and the Soviet system would have been the best thing to ever happen in recent human history.
