Dump more if you have it. Which museum is this? I went to a firearms museum in Buenos Aires and it was dope as fuck. They had all kinds of rare prototype shit but I don't know what I did with all the pictures.

Thats awesome.

you should visit Belfast.

>where the IRA fought the english
>The protestants fought the catholics
>walls still separating communities
>bullets holes all over the place
>walking around appreciating all of it while listening to IRA folk music
>being able to talk to people talk to people who actually fought in this.(i wouldnt suggest doing this unless you have earned some trust, i lived a week with an Irish woman before i got around to asking).
>Realizing that not only are you standing in a war frozen in time but you stand where vikings fought

its one of the sadder parts about being an American is that we dont have such great ancient history.

i think music really sets to the tone for every visit. When i travel to capital cities i like to listen i like to listen to the Star wars imperial march when i first arrive and then switch to national anthems and nation marching scores. The further i go out to the rural areas the more folk songs i listen to.

i felt so giggly walking around London thinking about its history.
>standing where romans stood
>standing where vikings stood
>standing where the krauts dropped bombs and imagining the the air raids
>standing in ancients battlefields

truly the best thing about Europe is the history.

Did you check out the Imperial War Museum while you were in London also? It's pretty good. The best /k/ related museum I've been to is probably the WW2 museum in New Orleans.

I went there when i was 16, although i enjoyed everything but i was distracted by tail to fully appreciate it.

Lots of nice pictures OP but you should consider getting to know your camera settings. Every museum places its goods inside glass cases for obvious reasons and the reflections fucks your pics up. And they like to keep their roof lighting low too because overlong exposure to light will damage some goods. What you CAN do, depending on your camera options, is to either turn the blitz off, the light sensitivity up, or try delayed or reduced blitz. Digital cameras always try to help by autoadjusting but one damn naked lightbulb in the area or one white dressed person nearby, and your pics look like cameras were just invented. At the very least take a minute to study one of the pics you just took to see how things are going to work out for the rest of the set.

yea, i know the lighting was abysmal, but using any sort of flash in a museum is degenerate. They had a bad combination of lots of natural light at the corners of the rooms and lots of overhead light in the cases that made it pretty much impossible to find a setting or combination of settings that didnt reflect on most cases.

To be fair, no gun shown in the thread is any older than 1700s which is pretty much when america was becoming america

we might have cucked gunlaws but we at least have good museums

try and visit the imperial war museum and the newly revamped national army museum if you get the chance OP both are in london and tube distance away from each other.

Pretty sure the latter still have the bones of Napoleons horse, his cutlery and stuff too.

Also the lions that sit beside nelsons column are melted down and casted from captured French cannons at Trafalgar.

pretty surreal really

i just think its interesting that 100 years ago you guys could of owned and used semiauto/self loading pistols, but today even a pepperbox is illegal

this was the same country that spawned colonial rhodesia and apartheid south africa.

Australia also had a pretty healthy gun culture, it all started to go tits up in the 1960's really. I'm not one to blame "liberals" though, most of the UK gun laws were brought it under conservative governments like Thatchers. Always be on your toes ameri friends, because I wouldn't trust Trump with personal rights as much as I would trust Reagan.
>>
>>34675804
yep. the way i see it historically liberals try to restrict gun freedoms because they dont know shit about guns. But when conservatives try to do it, it's because they DO know shit about guns and want to end the public's last great equalizer... more or less.

Hope you Enjoy your stay, if you do get a chance to get out of London go to the HMS Victory at Portsmouth and tour the naval dockyards it is a sight to see.

If you have any questions feel free to ask
