Best rimfire semi-auto rifle that can easily accept a pistol grip? Budget of like $350 to start, for basic rifle with standard stock. Used is OK. Basically, Im in Connecticut, and we cant have removable magazine centerfire semi-auto rifles here with a pistol grip. The F17 is probably the single best, but way out of budget. I like the customizability of the 10/22, but I kinda want something a little more powerful. So that leaves things like Savage A22 and Remington 597. Also, should I go with 22 WMR instead of 17 HMR?
I might just stick with 10/22 in 22LR and build something like pic related, but a little more power would be nice

Great platform for a DIY project, I too want to make a stock for my 10/22. I want a VSS Vintorez style stock

Yeah. the discontinued magnum variants are ultra expensive though. I can get a magnum 597 for only a little more, but their customizability seems shit. Was thinking a 597 VTR might be a good idea though
