Well no, I think it's quite easy for a religious group to settle down somewhere and form a functional community without flying off the deep end. The line is much thicker than you think. Where I begin taking issue is when it expands to religious governance where the church is the government and dictates law. Sure, the two organizations can share values, that's fine, but condensing the two into one concentrates power into the hands of too few people and wherever power concentrates it causes corruption.

No. Assuming they're baptists, since them and the methodists are the only two kinds of church you really see where I live.
