Hey Americans. Remember when your CIC publicly criticized the "digital" EMALS and said drop it and go steam? Would be pretty stupid to plant a flag on a hill on a subject matter that you have no competence in and later get completely BTFO, wouldn't it?

I'm guessing testing wasn't the hottest of priorities due to there being no use for it for years.
