hahahahaha, has any QE been hit in combat? Has this "superior" damage control policy been teseted? Remember in Jutland, the Brits thought their ships armor made them impenetrable, and thus extra armor around the magazines was unnecessary. It did not work out for them then, and it wont now.

again, hahahaha. We use it in aircraft hangars and missile silos to stop fires. The problem in a carrier is that we need to not just stop the fire, but also put the carrier back into operation as soon as possible. This means we need a fucking ship construction crew on board in order to repair the damage the ship sustains. If you don't have one and the QE doesn't, you will be mission killed far more easily than a more fully manned ship.

The real reason the Brits have moved to remote damage control is not that it is more effective, but rather because it is more cost effective. You cannot afford a properly crewed vessel, and therefore are trying to back justify why reducing the cost as well as the effectiveness makes sense.
