Started off life as a POF pistol, was SBR'd then had the F A3 stock installed. Next it was stripped down, sandblasted and the welds taken down to a flush point and duracoated in HK black. Current SEF pack has been polished for a light pull and will be replaced with a franklin HK BFS when they ship my preorder. Suppressor is an octane 45hd attached via a rugged 3lug adapter. Handguard alternates between a surefire 628 and a standard wide handguard depending on suppressor requirements

Hey friendly trips.

I want an upper that would be good for varmint shooting. I need a heavy barrel. 18 or 20 inch. Threaded with a twist on the slower side so I can shoot the fast varmint rounds.

Am I better off buying a complete upper? Or could I save money by buying a nice barrel and a cheaper receiver and rail?

Torque wrench, wrench, anti-seize, and grease.
Vice and block will make it 100x easier.
