We have meetups every threeday weekend when all we do is camp, shoot, and hike.

We also have build parties, meetup at gun ranges/shows, camp and hike.

Lived about 10 minutes from them up until a year ago. Didn't realize how much of a big deal they were until a few years ago. They've really spoiled me as far as standards for a good gun store. Pretty sure they max out at 50m, but I haven't been there for a few years since I went to college in Philly. Almost definitely the cheapest place you'll find though, plus it's fun to shoot clay pigeons. TSS is nice because as far as I can tell the only other public range (i.e. you don't have to belong to a gun club to visit) within 30min is Target Masters which I believe is worse.

If you want the true bumfuck woods, central/north central. A lot of the suburban towns between Philly and Pittsburgh (think Harrisburg vicinity) are decent, though I'm biased because that's where I grew up, but they all are within easy driving distance to state game lands and the like. Part of the greatness of the state is that outside of the cities, nearly everywhere is close enough for a day trip to either game lands or state parks or something, and outside of the cities as well most people are gun-friendly, or at least tolerant and accept their existence.

If you have the money to live in center city it is fine. I OC every day and have walked by hundreds of cops. Only one rookie cop asked me if I was licensed. I said yes and he said sorry for bothering it's my first week. Didn't even ask to see it.

I know what is what everyone has said millions of times online. But my experience of OCing daily for almost 3 years is much different. Like I said I had 1 cop out of hundreds barely even care and have also had no crazy soccer mom interactions. Maybe it's just because I wear polos or button downs for work all the time and don't look like a sketchy school shooter in an overcoat with long hair in the middle of the summer.

Also in CC philly there aren't many k-12 schools near the bars/living areas so that won't be a problem. Also nice I can have a casual beer while I'm carrying as well. Completely legal.

Sometimes in winter when going to the range in a slightly sketchy neighborhood I will CC my AR pistol under my pea coat just in case.

No offense, but still not sold on this, now if you are dressing like you do, I guess people just assume off duty or a detective or something. I still have my doubts, and lol who hasn't carried a "pistol" or SBR as a CC in winter. Best part of PA winters.
