/k/, what makes a camo effective or ineffective against NV?

Digital camo patterns are surprisingly effective against NV.
>>
>>34652679
A lot of clothes will advertise NIR which means it doesn't reflect infrared light. (or blocks your IR emission)
It also has to do with the type of fabric and ink used in the print.
The pattern itself does not determine how easy it is to see with NV as much as the fabric and ink that is used.

Which is best against NV between AridFlecktarn - Multicam - CCE - Alpenflagge and US4CES Transitional?

Two out of the four patterns you listed are shown in the example pic and one performs exceptionally better than the other and would adequately answer your question.

No, Flecktarn isn't the same as AridFlecktarn, and that doesn't answer my question about NV.

I'm out, good luck with your question kiddo.

Where is this pattern from? Is it from east or west germany? Or am I completely wrong?

It's not so hard to understand...
Yes US4CES beats Multicam for NV like shown in the second pic, but the other patters I've listed AREN'T Multicam. What tells you that the patterns I've listed (except multicam...) aren't even better than US4CES?

Look how poorly the non-digital patterns did in comparison. I've always sort of despised digital patterns for their crispness, but I believe it is that crispness that makes them super efficient under NV.

Also, Alpenflage is a meme, so write that one off. Aridfleck would likely look something like OCP/multicam. Normal fleck just looks dark green in NV.

>>34653707
Ok thanks. Can you explain why the digital pattern would be superior against NV?
Also, pic related is meant to replace the current Flecktarn and is said to be very effective against NV, yet it isn't digital.
>>
>>34653767
I did, we'll use your pattern for example. Tight, rapid changes in pattern. Crisp edges and blocky textures. I can still see that top fading to look like just plain tan-ish under NV, kind of like multicam did.
>>
>>34653767
They grays will certainly help scatter the image.
>>
>>34652679
Judging by that picture, it looks like standing behind stuff instead of in front of it works best.
