Ever look at the Arsenal Threads? Many of us get interesting guns. I only own two ARs and one Glock, the Glock 26 was my first ever CC gun (still is) and the ARs were my tacticool homo faze.

After that, its been nothing but revolvers, interesting shotguns, safari rifles, precision rifles, milsurp collection, pocket guns, survival folding guns, etc

I agree with you though OP that there are a bunch of "gun lovers" out there, that don't really appreciate guns, they're just tacticool queers who will buy whatever the general consensus is on the "newest bestest tacticool gun".

I can't picture myself even being a firearm enthusiast/hobbiest if all I had was an AR and a Glock. Would get boring pretty fast.

I want a warm weather concealed carry pistol, a cold weather concealed carry pistol, a range pistol, a woods pistol, and a competition pistol and I prefer Glocks for their ergos, triggers, and their entire system of accessories. It would make no sense to change platform for if my goal is a practical one.

I'm sure people have similar reasons for owning 5 or 6 AR's. There are different roles for a rifle, and it's not usually necessary to go to an entirely different platform when the platform you prefer has enough versatility to fit all your needs with a little configuration. An AR set up with a scope and a target trigger for long distance shooting vs. an AR set up with a short barrel and a red dot for home defense vs. an AR set up with a long rail and irons for competition shooting.

I'm not that guy but I have one. It has a nice kick to it and you need a gas adjustment tool so the brass doesn't go flying off/adjust for different ammo

First time I fired it my ejected brass went 25 feet to my right. Look up IV888's video on it. It looks and fires pretty fucking well., It uses 8mm ammo.

I shoot and carry a Glock 19 exclusively and on occasion, shoot my P226R but the thought of bringing +6 different guns and 3 different ammo types all wrangling all different kinds of magazines in one range trip irritates and distracts the fuck out of me. Fuck that noise and fuck retards like OP.

People who own 6 AR's always have like a long range/short range build, a retro build, a super lightweight build, a suppressed build, etc. I would wonder why someone owns 6 bolt action milsurp guns like nuggets or arisakas, but then I actually shoot and appreciate the various qualities that different versions and vintages of a firearm possess.
