How loud is a suppressed .308? I kind of feel that if I am going to go through all of the trouble of getting a suppressor, the suppressor should perform well. Don't want it to half the sound.

At subsonic? Hard to say honestly, Shot placement is key here and while 100 yards is not the hardest shot in the world you and I both know how stubborn deer are.
