Any thoughts on the IO M214 "American Made AK-47"?
What about Interarms as a company?
I ran into one at a local pawn shop for a reasonable price, but it felt sort of cheap when I handled it. Stamped receiver, and that funky front sight.

Don't get this board started on IO. Its absolute shit and will always be absolute shit. /thread

Because it is!
IO is a garbage company that makes garbage rifles

You can buy an IO if you enjoy a mushrooming/deforming bolt and carrier.
Unless something has changed they won't last more than a few thousand rounds. If you do buy one, for the love of all that is holy BUY A HEADSPACE GAUGE. Otherwise you are risking life and limb shooting it.
If you want a good AK for cheap, Atlantic Firearms has the N-PAP on sale for $450 after rebate, or $500 if you can't be arsed to do it. Or if you want an AK that takes standard furniture, the WASR's are very good and can be found in the $600 range.

Don't buy anything IO inc.
EVER. If you value having your face attached to your skull.
They're shit.

>IO
>INTERARMS
Two very different companies, anon.
Avoid IO like the plague.
Not sure about modern interarms, as I understand it's not the same interarms of virginia of yore but a revival of the brand like springfield.
