Had to get a new gun. Friend of mine bought my old model 10 for $300 with hopes of fixing its timing issues. Was my only handgun, wanted another quick for under $300, this was all I could find that wasn't plastic, how'd I do?

You should have just saved a bit more and gotten something better.
Taurus revolvers aren't as bad as their autos, but still aren't that great. The snub nose is kind of dumb I feel. Just don't shoot super hot loads through it and in the future do your research before, not after you buy.

NO HOT AMMO WHATSOEVER! If you stick to mild loads it should last you awhile. I had a .357 taurus tracker 7 shot. Cool in theory, but just a few plus P loads fucked it all up.
