Which Remington 11-87 should i buy? Is the sportsman synthetic

You shouldn't. You should buy a Benelli M2. Or, buy a Franchi Affinity for the same price as the 1187 and still have a better gun ( Basically An M2 with a few minor differences.)

People seem to love them but I had a lemon. I'm not put off by the brand but be prepared. Do note that the 18.5" barrels don't have chokes IIRC. If that means something to you then consider saving up for a different gun.
