To all firearm enthusiasts who also have tinnitus. Did it make you give up on firearms or have you found a surefire way (if the there is one when it comes to shooting firearms) to prevent shooting firearms from harming you or worsening?

good earpro. also i dont shoot too much so it hasnt made anything worse
Got tinnitus from jet engines, now use electronic ear pro. I use foamies under them if shooting indoors.
Surefire EP10 + MSA Sordin Supreme Pro X with gel cups
Laugh as the even the god of thunder couldn't deafen you.

I made sure to use good ear pro ever since I started so I don't have tinnitis or hearing loss (beyond what I normally have; my hearing isn't the greatest to begin with).
My preferred combo is:
>howard leights + aftermarket gel earpads + hearband cover with foam
>$2 3-seal gel earplugs from walmart
It's worked well for me so far, but I'm looking to replace the gel earplugs with something that is more comfortable and seals better like the decibulls. Has anyone tried decibulls yet? I like the custom molded plug, but the fact that all you need to do to remold it is to reheat the plugs has be worried.
