I just got the glock brand glock e-tool since it was fairly cheap and in stock. Seems pretty neat, haven't used it yet.

How is that handle effective? I can't chop wood easily with that

Wood handles are better, or at least feel better.

Not with that attitude.

I love solid wood handles for durability. But the multiple uses of the tri fold made me give it a chance. Im going to buy a wooden handle folding head and a straight wooden handle fixed e tool. Find out wich i like the best and throw the other two in a pack or the truck.

Generally speaking, the folding heads on the wood handle are easier to store and have more utility than the straight heads. On the other hand the straights tend to be more firm and durable. However may that as it be, I've never had either break on me.

Going to get one from my dad later today. Mine is black, tho.
Anyone have an opinion on this one?

I like my Cold Steel spade.
This is what I have.

From what ive seen the handles are shit but the shovel itself is built pretty fucking solid. Get a nice hard wood Handle and your golden.

Mine is from '66, you can use it as shown or fully flat.
It basically gets the job done.
