I thought something like this might happen when I bought this, but for the price I was willing to take a risk
Their's no way this thing can feed
https://www.tradeexcanada.com/content/spare-magazine-tokarev-svt40-- this is where I got it.

Grind it down faglord. Is the magazine hitting the bolt?
SVT-40s like a lot of early mag loaders like the lee enfields or whatever, had a bit of hand fitting done to each magazine. You'd have to do some hand fitting to an old magazine if you got it too.

Thanks but unfortunately I don't have the rifle with me right now, if I was to fix it would have to take it apart?
>>34627729
thought like that when I saw my ProMag for my Lee Enfield
shit works great
>>34627671
just niggerrig a bren magazine into fitting
>>34627921
I mean not HAVE to but i would if i was you.
Depending on how it's pinned if you're a fucking leaf, you may have to 'temporarily' remove the pin. Legally speaking it's not a prohibited mag until it's put back together, if you really care enough.
But you need to lower the follower and use a dremel grind down that little half moon until the bolt misses it as it closes, and pushes a round forward instead.
>>34627963
What the fuck have you done to that poor gun.
>>34627975
charlie happened to it
>>34627963
I don't hate this
>>34627975
Thanks and um
>>34627992
Yea...
Ok so check something pour moi. To dissassemble there's a pin at the bottom to push up, really easy, slavs did it right with this thing.
I want you to check if the front of the follower has a huge metal thing sticking all the way down. If it does, that rivet is just to 'show' the mag is pinned.
>>34628034
Yeah I think I know what you are taking about. I dissasmbled the mag that cam with the rifle and it had a metal sheet wedded to the bottom of the follower
>buying an aftermarket SVT mag
Lmao enjoy the paperweight, I couldn't get mine to work no matter what I did and the quality in general is dogshit compared to a surplus, all while cost nearly as much.
>>34628158
Yea that's the true pin.
I don't really know why they put the rivet in. You can bend that pin up under the follower and out of the way if you want. I MEAN DON'T DO THAT IT WOULD BE ILLEGAL.
Ok it's apart and this is what we (me)
Have to work with.
>>34628202
Like I said was willing to take a risk and last I checked original mags were 1/3rd price of the gun, this was 80 canadian Dosh
>>34628261
I know
>>34628364
Crap pic rotation
So this is everything I hope ( it kinda
Popped open)
OP here looks like there's not much I can do right now without the autonugget and a Dremel (l don't own a Dremel any substitute I can use? )
But I sill gave some questions about other things, like dose this gas mask contain asbestos ?
>>34628658
And are these live?

Bren magazines are incompatible with 54r. The angle of thge cases are different. The 54r being a smaller angle. You can only fit 6 or 7 54r rounds in a bren mag. I've tried this myself. IIRC that gun was an NVA abortion of an SVT that was "chambered" in 303
