>What are the some /k/ books?

Reality (or claimed to be):
Dear Mom: A sniper's Vietnam - Good
Chickenhawk (slick pilot) - Very good & sad
Making a killing (awesome PMC adventures) - Extremely recommended
Escape from Baghdad (PMC adventures the sequel) - Decent, not special
A long way gone (child soldierin') - Decent
The forgotten soldier - Timeless operator classic, must read
Storm of steel - Timeless operator classic, must read
SOG (americans owning & getting owned) - Educational
Acceptable loss (more Vietnam LRRP & Blue Apaches) - Good
Shake hands with the devil (UN ROE suck balls) - Educational
On war - Educational but overhyped
War is a racket - Interesting
The art of war - Classic, but mostly blatantly obvious

Fiction:
The dogs of war - Timeless classic, must read
Roadside picnic - Get out of here, stalker
I am Legend - Decent classic
Catch-22 - Timeless operator classic, must read
Brave new world - Timeless classic, must read
1984 - Timeless classic, must read
Animal Farm - Timeless classic, must read
The road - Decent, but hugely overhyped
Slapstick - Decent, but meh
Extremely loud & incredibly close - Decent, but meh
A canticle for Liebowitz - If post-apoc is your thing
The name of the rose - Classic

As for the hard scifi pile in the pic, read it all, you won't be disappointed. Start with Douglas Adams, then go to Heinlein, transition to Haldeman/Scalzi & go back for PKD.

>What are you reading?

I just bought:
George Orwell's Homage To Catalonia
James Mahaffey's Atomic Accidents
>>
Finishing up Stephen King's The Stand uncut. Bitch is over a thousand pages.
>>
I cant decide if i want to download. hmmm.

I still have some turn of the century gunsmithing books to and everything is always suspect.

Not really books per se, but I was just reading through these two articles on primer composition:

http://gunfreezone.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Primer_mixes_composition_and_behaviour..pdf
http://aardvarkreloading.com/resources/Homemade%20Primer%20Course%20Update.pdf

Interesting reads if you're interested in chemistry, I was looking for info on primers that don't contain heavy metals.

Battle of Britain by Patrick Bishop
Red Storm Rising by the late Tom Clancy
>>
Anything by Antony Beevor

I'm almost done with Low Level Hell. It might be the most entertaining book I've read thus far, I have a hard time putting it down. I've read Rattler 17 and I'm gonna get Chickenhawk in the future. Vietnam helo pilot books are good reads.

Storm of Steel is the next one I'm buying. PROTIP: get the one published by Howard Fertig, not published by Penguin. Howard Fertig is a direct translation from German while the Penguin one is watered down and altered.

>Chickenhawk

Be prepared for some feelz, especially at the end. Though obviously, if you know american history, you should know how veterans end up.

As for the book hardest to put down, then it was probably "Making a killing". Probably fiction, but claimed not to be.

I'm still slogging through it. The middle part is quite boring and I can understand why the first print was heavily edited.
>>
Armor
Starship Troopers
Johnny Got his Gun
All's Quiet on the Western Front
The Forever War
>>
>>34623638
Oh, and currently reading The Horse by Wendy Williams, which isn't exactly /k/ unless you're a cavalryfag.
>>
Storm of Steel (WWI)
Now it can be told (WWI)
A Rumor of war (Vietnam)
>>
Death in the Long Grass by Peter H. Capstick. Book will blow your mind when it comes to hunting.
