Perfection thread?

The joke here, for any newfags, is that glock is already perfection and these people ruin their guns by trying to improve on an already perfect gun

Gayer than 2 Marines.

How long do Talon Grips usually last? I installed mine about 2mm too far to the left on the left side and it's bothering the hell out of me. I figured I'll use it until it peels off then install the next one correctly.
>>
>>34620054
Get a 19 instead and make it a Roland special.
>>
>>34620441
I've all ways wondered why people stipple glocks when they could just wrap it in grip tape. Like skateboard deck grip tape.

Why not just have an actual Glock general?

Also the camo does look good IMO.
>>
>>34624571
It's nicer to not have a glock general clogging up the board 24/7. Not a glock hater or anything it just doesn't need a general. We all know what to do when someone posts "glock perfection" now anyways. Soon that other guy will post that image of t h i c c anime girls for everyone to roll against.

The perfection thread is up at least every other day, the is arguably a joke. I rarely see any actual discussion.

On the topic of glocks, the Pearce +3 9mm PG-GP magazine extension is extremely difficult to install on the ETS 22 round mag, and I don't believe it adds any capacity.

Shut up and accept that the Glock is the best handgun you can have in 2017 still and will remain so for the forseeable future? Accept that while 30 years old, the Glock is only now slowly being caught up on by other manufacturers and they still fail to actually release guns as good as Glock and instead churn out gimmicky trash with serration "ears" and cheap afterthought mods of DASA hammer fired guns into striker fired guns?
I still can't get over the fact how much foresight Glock had with making a flat top slide; 5 years from now, red dots will be as common on handguns as night sights are today - or more. A USP, with it's shitty race strip milling can't mount a RMR properly. It's a dead end gun.

As much as I hate Larry Vickers, his slide release is probably the best option. I'm really digging it over oem and the oem extended ones.

>>34625121
You're talking to a fellow Gastonian. Pic related. I also have a usp9 and concur.

>>34625023
I've found that my glock "+" mag extensions on my 19 mags feel quite different when loading compared to a standard 17 mag. Make sure you're bottoming out your follower.

I went with a Glock primarily because of how cost effective it was to get an RMR on there. My friend was like "you could have gotten a USP 9mm tactical for how much you paid", and I'm thinking yeah sure, but no red dot.

Might go try to Zero it today.

Had some issues getting the mounting screws into the slide. Waiting to hear back from Adams Arms. Using some stainless steel phillips head machine screws in 6-32 right now. None of the black anodized or stainless hex/torx drive 6-32 screws would fit though.

>>34625181
Yeah I shoved em in. Maybe added +1 to the ETS 22 rounder. Put the same extension Pearce GP-PG on my OEM G17 mag and it actually added +3 capacity for 20 rounds.

Would be nice to get a +2 or +3 extension to work on the ETS 22 rounder.

Nice Roland. I am considering getting a SF X300, but kinda also want an Inforce APL Gen3 just for the aesthetics.
>>
>>34625217
>APL Gen3 just for the aesthetics.
C'mon now. You make the decision to buy a utilitarian handgun and then decide to get an aesthetic light? Just get the X300U. More lumens (almost never a bad thing) and it's built way better. Surefire also has the best switches for on the X300 compared to everyone else and people actually make holsters for it commonly, too.

One more thing; send an email to ATEi asking them what screws they use. They machine one of them down to size so it doesn't block the extractor plunger, and they apparently do not need loctite according to them - which I'm inclined to agree with.

Also I think the ETS mags do not have the same kind of spring/follower arrangement that lends itself to giving the extra capacity that OEM mags do.

>I might spring for the X300.
It's literally the only acceptable answer.

>ATEi?
>He doesn't know how to Roland special
Only a 100% authentic Roland special can come from ATEi :^). They mill slides for serrations/RMRs. They also do not use trijicon's screws but use some other screws instead that have really good interface with the slide, apparently good enough to recommend that customers forgo the use of loctite.

Looking at doing a gucci polymer80 build G19 for CC or just to have. Probably will get a G43 for CC because I'm not a bigguy4u. Any recommendations for 19 parts? being looking at Grey Ghost Precision or KE Arms.
>>
Is there a compensator for a 17 that makes the length match a 17L or extended slide holster
>>
>>34627113
There's really nothing wrong with Glock-brand Glock parts.
The best Glock trigger setup is Gen4 trigger bar, dot connector, NY2 trigger spring, and 25ยข trigger job.
If you want Gucci gratia Gucci, though, I've read good things about the Vanek Custom GSSF trigger kit.
I like the Glock OEM extendo slide release, but the Vickers one is good, too (it'd better be, considering it costs twice as much).
>>
>>34625121
>how much foresight Glock had with making a flat top slide
None at all?
The Glock is easy to mount red dots on for the same reason the AR-15 is easy to mount free-float handguards on: coincidence, totally unintended by the designer.

>or more
LOLno; nobody is ever going to forego decent sights in favor of jumping straight to a red dot that costs 4-5x as much, especially since they'll need to get suppressor-height-or-taller irons as BUIS anyway.

>Vickers one is good, too (it'd better be, considering it costs twice as much).
The problem I have with the oem is that it's finish is too slick making it too slippery and that the shelf on it is at the more useless part of the release at least for me. The Vickers has a constant shelf along its length, it's fitment is better, it has a much more textured finish/grooves, and it's also shaped just as well for locking the slide open. I'd say it's easily twice as good in performance alone.
