we used to buy ronson refillable butane lighters and turn them into mini flamethrowers in jr high. if you popped 'em apart and cranked the flame control way past what the factory intended we could get fireballs over a foot long out of them. needed another lighter taped to the side for ignition, a spark wasn't enough to light what was coming out as liquid butane
