I'm fairly certain that the Barrel being deformed had a lot to do with the fire, too, as opposed to drooping from the heat of all the rounds fired.

If you tested the same upper with an aluminum handguard, it's very likely that it would have gone on to 800+ rounds.

I also hate that whenever IV8888 or some other youtubers test PSA ARs, they never tell us what it exactly is.

PTAC

Yeah no shit. It's a 200 dollar upper. I bought a PSA upper (not freedom line) and lower for Christmas, ran me about 500. If it performed like that I'd be quite impressed. These guns aren't meant to shoot 50 round drums full auto, let alone back to back like that. They are designed to shoot semi auto and because they are marketed toward poorfags like myself, I rarely ever load more than 5-10 rounds in a mag when I'm at the range. I'd be surprised if I still have this thing 5 years down the line, but for now it works just fine both at the range and on whoever might be dumb enough to break into my house. The fact that you can have a rifle that can even handle 450 rounds full auto for under 500 dollars these days is pretty amazing.

Nitride is superior for civilians because they change the surface geometry of the barrel as much as chrome lining and offer comparable barrel life, granted you aren't doing mag dumps for hours every time you go to the range.
