What was your first gun? Do you still have it? What did you learn from it? Would you make the same choice again?
My first was a Norinco SKS. I still have it and shoot it from time to time. The most important thing I learned from it was that you shouldn't fuck with a gun's original design and purpose too much. If you need something different, buy a different gun designed for that role. Tried putting a couple different tactical stocks, optics, etc. on it, but every time I gravitated back to its traditional wood and fixed mag configuration because I found it the most comfortable and reliable. If I could go back, I'd choose an SKS again, though in retrospect, I sort of wish I'd gone with a Yugo instead.

Cooey 75 that my old man used in his youth to menace our ancient enemies.

Mosin. I learned J&G sales will give you a sewer pipe barrel but it was so cheap at the time I didn't care. Got nicer mosins and that one is gone.
10/22. Pimped it out and then sold it upon realization that all the invested in such an average rifle could have been spent on a high quality bolt action .22.
Some Rizzini 20 gauge O/U. It shot clays like a dream but I sold it to a friend when I got a Beretta silver pigeon in 12 gauge . I still see it when he brings it shooting occasionally

H&R Versa pack .22lr/ .410 gauge
Loved it, crackhead stole it, shot crackhead in the ass.

my first gun was a WASR-10. i still have it, and i'm still learning shit. learned i fucking hate tapco mags. it came with one, and i threw that fucker away. learned i need to be more on top of keeping it clean. i would absolutely make the same choice again.
Marlin Model 60 with the 18 round mag. My grandpa gave it to me for my 15th birthday, I look at it almost everyday. Just a few days ago we found out he has lung cancer. Im hoping to go to the range with him, at least one more time

If you don't mind me asking, what'd you sell the Rizzini for? I've got one in 20 GA O/U and my dad has a matching 12. They seem to be quite pricey

>What was your first gun?
Stag Arms Model 2 (AR15)
>Do you still have it?
Yes, it's my HD rifle
>What did you learn from it?
Strapping on or modding too much stuff just adds weight. I eventually decided on just a VFG, tac light, TA31F and a Pmag of 77gr SMKs. The other rails and scopes I got for it eventually migrated to my other specialized ARs except for my M16A1 repro.
>Would you make the same choice again?
Yes.

My first gun as well, dropped it and the stock cracked sadly.
>>34602482
>What was your first gun?
WASR 10
>Do you still have it?
I bought it 4 months ago so yeah
>What did you learn from it?
uh no real "learning" moments yet. Bought it cause it was cheap and easy to clean.
>Would you make the same choice again
yeah

Yeah tapco mags are fucking horrible. I live Jersey so I can't purchase normal mags(>15rds) so I've been buying steel mags from a guy who cuts them for cucks like me.

My *first* gun? M16A2 that I was issued. I consider it my first.
My first purchased firearm is a Para Ops 1911. 2nd gun is an AR15
H&R single shot. Still have it, use it for back packing. (Same set-up to pic related, +recoil pad.)

The first gun I ever had was a single action army .45LC clone my grandfather gave me. I've still got it, and i've learned that cowboy guns are fun as fuck. I would definitely take it again, i've definitely dropped some dough on a few more SAA's and Levergats in the time since i've gotten this thing. Say what you want about it but i've taken hella coyotes with it out in the woods as a kid.
A 1914 Winchester model 12 12ga 28" that an elderly friend of mine gave me. A few years later I found a guy selling a mint 1940s Ithaca 37 with a 20" for $100 and I sold the Winchester for $400. I think I did pretty well considering how loose it was.
The first gun I bought myself was a Colt Army JP Sauer und Sohn West German single action revolver in .357. It was fun to shoot and I got it for cheap, got rid of it for a Lee Enfield.

I bought a ruger gp100 as my first gun to own. Was purchased recently so I still have it and hope it'll last long enough to pass down. I learned that cleaning is annoying but a good habit. Sort of wish I bought a rifle as my first gun for plinking but I'm satisfied with my purchase. Actually been debating on what rifle I should get as my first if anyone has a good suggestion.

FAMAS
Beretta u22 neos
Dad got it for me when I was 13
Still have it but don't shoot it because it's too easy to group with.

You should honestly just kill yourself my man.
>>34604491
Sounds like a solid plan. Reckon It's good for waving a white flag from?
CZ-83 was my first gun. Small enough to carry, big enough magazine that I felt safe enough with it. I almost sold it, but didn't have the heart to part with it
>>34604451
Honestly a Ruger 10/22 or a nice sturdy centerfire bolt action or semi auto, I'd say go with an AR-15 or AK as long as you do your research. I've never been much of an AR guy but I just picked up a Ruger AR-556 for 450 and i'm loving it!
