The hit reg is really awful in my experience. The camera is also fucked, they need to use the Battlefield-style head camera, peeker's advantage is intense as it is now. You'll get shot at from a guy you can't have possibly seen because of the way angles work with the camera. I don't even bother to defend windows anymore, you can't win that fight.

No one who is serious about flight sims, arguably the most appropriate application for VR, uses VR as anything other than a novelty to be thrown in the closet after you use it for 30 minutes.

TrackIR/Freetrack is and will continue to be the preeminent head tracking/immersion enhancing technology for the forseeable future. At least until VR is able to pull off something like 4k-8k resolution per eye at 90-120+fps. And a cable standard even exists to enable that kind of required data rate. And then video processing hardware that can even keep up with producing enough data to satisfy those requirements. And then develop a headset that is comfortable enough to wear/use for more than 20 minutes.

Until then screen door effect, poor resolution, poor refresh rate, and the fact that you have a 4 pound tumor hanging off your face with associated fatigue and pressure points all but kill it beyond it's novelty use by early adopters.

Aside from that, the depictions show its too far forward, which ruins the center of balance on the gun, and makes it more difficult to hold. Closer to the center would make more sense.
