my lgs has a few charter arms 38s, and a few taurus 38s. any advice fellas?
Save your pennies and get a ruger or a smith & wesson.

Why would you buy one of those when you can get a model 10 for like another 200-300 buckos
>>34595141
>>34595213 this. Either a used model 10 or at least buy the charter since it isn't made by br monkeys

you should probably pass on Charter, despite the made in America marketing. I hear some Rossi's are good and EAA's are solid. Considering the price the Charters are selling at there's really no point in not getting a Windicator if that's the size you want.
op here, thanks for the input guys. problem is, im in california, and its fucking impossible to find a lgs to that sells 38 snubbies that arent fucking tauruses. i considered myself lucky with the charters. any suggestions?

Ever handled a charter? They have clunky triggers but the guns themselves are well made and use a neat frame design that seems very strong.

how do charters hold up over time and hundreds of rounds though?
I'd go charter over taurus as they don't have an internal lock.
also inspect it properly at time of sale to make sure you get a good one. Part of the reason they are cheap is shitty QC.

I like the BOOMER

It's a snubby revolver. You won't shoot it enough to hurt it.
Taurus actually makes some pretty good revolvers. Don't believe the memes.

All the ones I've seen develop serious timing issues

why don't you get a gun that fires a round that didn't start a black powder cartridge?
