Supposedly that red semi-trailer in the background, or others just like it, have been spotted crossing the border in northern China.
It is quiet obvious that somebody is supplying these pisspoor fuckers with parts, machines and vehicles.
Who is delivering that stuff?
What are they getting in return?
Is it rivaling factions from within the chinese government?

Give me your wildest speculations, /k/!

Iran.

They make them. I suspect that they have only 1 facility for missile development, and it takes so long to get it set up in the launchpad then fueled (they're using the fuel type thats corrosive if it sits in the tanks, dunno if thats the solid or liquid type) that intelligence can spot it days in advance.

Thats how we get the news reports that "Korea is preparing for a missile test"

Then they put an explosive warhead on it and fire it at Japan, but since we caught it when it was being set up, we have ABM defense set up in the Sea of Japan with our navy and shoot it down.

Then the news reports that it "Fell into the ocean" to cause them humiliation.

China probably isn't because if Kim fires a dud into Seoul, Beijing will be blamed and sanctions would occur destroying their export-based economy. But even then, I'm willing to bet American military strategists would be okay with China supplying parts because it gives them an accurate set of expectations for the DPRK military (vs the free for all that comes with homebrew missiles/bombs that have their own peculiarities to them).

>Is it rivaling factions from within the chinese government?

This is a bigger issue than people in the west think it is, mostly due to Beijing's effective censorship of the issue in their state media and western journalists' inability to use Chinese social media. Anyway, there are two major factions within Beijing: the hardliner communists who want to purge the corrupt bankers and corrupt bankers that want to purge the hardliner communists. Neither side likes each other and neither has full control: the bankers want financial deregulation (so they don't go to jail for embezzlement and fraud among other things) while the PLA wants to make their own Great White Fleet and be an imperialist power like the United States.

North Korea is the biggest issue they cannot find common ground on, bankers don't want Kim starting a war with their biggest trading partner while the military sees NK as China's "child" (rather, their only "successful" attempt at imperialism) and doesn't want America poaching them (which would also result in an American airbase near the Chinese border). As a result of this disagreement, Beijing is allowing the situation to get worse and worse resulting in a solution (American invasion of NK) that fucks over both the bankers (consider that Chinese pharma companies test their products on nork prisoners, a thing the FDA would sanction all their products over) and the military (imagine a Pine Gap sized surveillance complex within 500 miles of Beijing).

>(consider that Chinese pharma companies test their products on nork prisoners, a thing the FDA would sanction all their products over)

That's where the real dirt is. Forget about Kim's regime, the real shit in NK is whatever Chinese companies are up to. Drug testing is just the tip of the iceberg, all sorts of products testing probably happens in NK without any regulation. For example, testing the efficacy of gas masks by gassing civilians wearing them, or safety testing hair dryer GCFIs by throwing them into pools full of norks. Or testing new bullet designs using live targets instead of ballistics gel.

If all of this were to come out, China would get slammed diplomatically and would either have to rip apart their companies (not happening) or face economic sanctions. Which is where a larger split between China and America could really start forming.

This.
My money is on the Jiang Zemin faction, or whoever is leading them now.
They are the cronies that could lose all that sweet bribe- and embezzelment-money to the cronies of the Xi Jinping factions. And their lives, too.
So they fight tooth and nails to sabotage any attemt of the current Xi Jinping regime to make nice with Trump.
They just want everything like it was before Xi Jinping and Trump.

>dunno if thats the solid or liquid type
There is no "the solid" or "the liquid" type. Either way, a solid rocket is literally a powder mix glued inside a cylinder with one end open (all fireworks rockets fall under this category). So quick fuelling is sorta not an option. Corrosive fuels are generally some sort of nasty liquid chemical - hydrazine, ammonia compounds, fluorine compounds etc. Usually this is done to get what is called a hypergolic fuel - the propellant and oxidizer ignite on contact (often requires a noble metal catalyst of some sort, like platinum). This eliminates the need for ignition systems in the chamber and comes with built-in restart ability. Highly reactive compounds often provide higher energy density too, so you get more bang for your buck.

probably cia or usa they just want areason to invade nk and then china in the future and no there nukes cannot touch usa at most they can hit japan and nk
>>
There are more chinese than whites, the idea that China somehow depends on the west for their own existance is fantasy/delusion.

They have millions of their own countrymen who see the rapid decline of the west, they do not fear us, nor do they care about our opinions of them.
>>
China supplies it all. Probably even the nuclear weapons.

It is all an elaborate ruse. North Korea plays the part of rogue state with developing nuclear and missile capability. China is the power in the region that has influence on North Korea. Everyone sucks up to China to get the scary Best Koreans to stop doing things.

The Chinese have no ability to be creative or create unique things for themselves. They can only copy. Once the west is gone China will fold in on itself because there will be no one left to copy.
>>
>>34594892
I'm not deep enough into the chemistry and particular logistics, but it seems like even NK could manage the industrial base for an RFNA+kerosene based rocket, especially if their designs are based off old soviet hand-me-downs.

Yet Trump suddenly decided to stop criticizing China for currency manipulation. Doubt he will try to stop them from supplying weapons to North korea

Its 70-year old technology
>>
>>34597468
that's a bad idea, those things are extremely dangerous. you don't want a rupture with a warhead on the thing. NK is better off going straight for solid rockets.

Really? I'd be more inclined to believe that with a source.

Throughout the 50s and 60s IRFNA was the default oxidizer for pretty much everything rocketry. NK's industrial base is sitting at roughly 1965 levels of tech, so I imagine that's about the level of rocketry they're dealing with. They might have something a bit better, but unless they're importing materials for this stuff, it's probably going to be liquid fueled and spectacularly toxic.

Then again, based on the smoke color, it might just be a shitty solid fueled tube o' boom. I'm not a spy, so I don't really know all the details, just a bit of rocketry.

That stupid White Supremacy way of thinking is why USSR kicked US teeth out in space race and nuclear race.
You can build that missiles on 70th tech.

China is probably supplying them with rocket parts with kill switches installed in them. That way, the launches still fail, but the Norks are less likely to go seek rockets from another source.
>>
>>34597683
Found the chink!
In fact they are so smart that they have to import the transporter erector launcher, because the smart people do not build heavy trucks.
>>
>>34597901
The navy doesn't want to give the Norks the propaganda victory they would like from knowing their rockets work, hence the 'falling into the sea' meme. Its only the navy that tracks these missiles once they're fired. Its the navy that relays this info to journalists. They're lying, and at the same time humiliating the Norks.

Seriously think about it, you think the Norks are going through the trouble and expense of building a functional rocket, and it just falls into the water? Their scuds work just fine.
