In a real surivaval situation how much ammo do you think you could carry?

say civil war breaks out in america. weapon wise what do you bring. i dont think carrying more than one rifle and one pistol would be plausible. for me it would be my SKS and my .22lr pistol. i figure i could carry 200 rounds of 7.62x39 and 1 500 box of 22lr

Would definitely be bringing my AKM-S.
Just in case, would probably try to stuff at least 200 5.56x45mm for my CTAR that I'd strap to my shoulder.

Honestly, if there is a revolt in the U.S. you need to link up with other rebels, and you should depend on them to be carrying food, and other shit. Especially if you want to be a dedicated fighter for the cause.

Carry what you can adequately fight with and still maintain ability to move. It depends on what you're doing. Are you lone wolfing it and keeping to your own AO protecting you and yours or are you linking up with some fighting force? Are they an established company of resistance fighters with a logistics support chain from the local populace or are they a separatist force backed by local or state government? If alone use what you got until something better is made available to you, or use what everyone else is using for commonality and ease of resupply.

For me, it's an M4 with 150rds of ammo and resupply points laid out ahead of time.

Places are easy enough to find here. Though there's less overall space we do have a fair bit of abandoned stuff, though it seems to be harder to come by.

But it's the guns part that's shit. The Stalker challenge is basically camping with guns, and we don't have shit in the way of guns really. Airshit? No. Air rifles? Maybe, but still not the same as taking an sks into the wild lands.

thinking about switching the keychain from the bottle opener that is NOT on it and a Surefire Titan to the bottle opener that IS on it with an XC1 installed on it

I carry these keys on a Taclink clipped to a rigger belt. According to an IRL /fa/ friend, as long as the rig stays under a shirt the geek factor is negligible.

shit that keeps the noise down:
a) 550 cord as the key ring
b) Taclinks are plastic
c) plastic car key between the house key and the aluminium bottle opener
d) being between my shirt and my pants and not bouncing all over the place

I'm relatively new to the whole stalker scene as of about a year and a half ago but one of the things I have learned in the general is that the best way to find abandoned buildings in your area that is relatively near by is to use google earth. I found a not so active military base that I wanted to visit but I can't because they started doing patrols again for the first time in decades around 2 years ago. So close :c
regardless I made up for it by finding a series of abandoned buildings and taking pictures and goofing around with some friends there.

Been trying to get into this series for 9 fucking years.
I just can't enjoy it vanilla from what I try.

I always start out, kill the bandits I was told to, go down the road to the left because the road to the right is a military base or some shit, get kinda far, then get tired.
Farthest I got I reached a sewer where some fucking thing tried to fuck my mind. And that was 9 years back. Recent attempts have ended down the road, usually after those guys asking for a fee.

Should I keep trying vanilla?
If no, then how do I exactly install the mods? It's not like Counter-Strike: Source where I can get them and drop them in my custom folder under cstrike, shit hurts my head.
