I love this meme because it allowed me to get a smoking deal on my 106. CR rifles had issues. Early FRs had issues with lack of proper feed ramp, which arsenal fixed later. My 106 has been shot more than any of my other rifles and it's reliable as fuck and eats anything you run through it. Also, you should have a 5.56 and 5.45 and enjoy both.

Because after 2013, even top tier gucci ARs are basic shit. Everyone's got a BCM or DD and all of the new shit is put out by literally who companies that'll be out of business in a few years. The only ARs I'm interested in are military service rifle clones, KAC and LMT. H&K would be in there too if they would stop dicking around and release a chromed barrel, modernized mr556. Probably about the only piston AR I'd ever consider seriously.

I feel guilty because I've reached this point where I have AKs in both calibers I want, all the furniture I need and a decent clutch of mags. Only thing I feel like spending money on is an '88 kit build or Polish AKMS but that's a LOT of money and a LOT of waiting, which doesn't solve my problem. I don't feel like collecting rare mags or parts or other slav oddities for the moment and buying ammo got boring.

I've gone back and taken my ARs apart and am going to update those for a while so I have something to chase until next year's SHOT. I'll probably burn a bunch of money on putting an aimpoint or low power variable on everything until I feel the urge to buy mags again.

Arms of America still has plenty, but they're getting pricier. Apex and Rguns are going to be the other options. Most of what you'll see is Romanian or Yugo stuff now, but there's still some Russian and Polish kits to be found.

For Maadis, you're gonna have to look for a secondhand one, but desu at this point it may be better to just buy a preban complete rifle or a MISR S/A.
