Actually the average American mink weighs 1.1 kilos. Minks require 273 kcal per kilo of bodyweight per day for maintenance. That comes to 300 kcal for each mink. 300*40000=12000000 kcal. A large pepperoni pizza from lil caesars has 2240 kcal. 12000000/2240= 5357 pizzas per day. At 5 dollars per pizza it would cost $26785 a day to feed 40000 minks.

Too answer your question, OP, my ideal method for dealing with 40000 minks is p90 (small caliber, large mag). It's a fast enough round that you can basically make minks explode by the dozens when you mag dump into a large enough mass (assuming you get to deal with all 40000 at once)

State made a special open season out of it and it was awesome. IIRC they were all killed/captured in a month or two. My dad took me out to shoot at em and I think we bagged like 4-5. They get into your buildings and can attack you, your livestock, and your pets.

They dig holes and dens, which could potentially harm livestock if they step in said hole, or damage farm equipment.

Their positive impact on the environments and ecosystem is minimal at best. They are pests and nuisances. So I kill them when I can.

There is literally nothing wrong with killing a mink.
