Other than the fact, sometimes it is hard to pick what one to go innawoods with.
>TFW You got most of these for under $100 at some point.
>TFW You de-tapcoed the fuck out of these, and now they are correct.
Though the Yugo was well past saving. So it shall be my gas cut off suppressed SKS when I get around to it.
This isnt even the whole innawoods collection. Missing a few.
>>34574097
SKSes are beautiful guns, its a shame the price has gone up so much
you are doing a great service friend. SKSs are one of my favorite rifles because it is historical as well as fun.
>>34574097
>no east german SKS
>>34574097
>The only fucking bubba'd one is also the only Russian/east European one
I no longer desire to live after seeing this picture.
>>34574097
No. I only have one, and am sad they will soon be overpriced if I want more. I want at least three.
I have 3 myself, use the steel promags and never had an issue. Fuck the factory box mag, plus
>muh assault rifle
I just got this today.
I've been telling myself I wouldn't buy another SKS at these prices unless it was something special, and this falls into my lap.
>>34574097
>Can't even find a yugo below 400
End me for being young, non-leaf and late to the party
>>34576318
>tfw no sks type d/m
>>34576353
Yugos are underrated
>>34576406
I used to know this feel
Now I have achieved >tfw SKS-D
>>34576406
I can buy an sks d in Canada with 720 rounds and 4 5 rounders with 3 30 rounders for 1000 bucks. Other people say don't do it. I might just save the money and buy a vz58
>>3457650
I mostly got it for the rarity and as a unique range toy, I'd never recommend one over an AK.
>>34576425
>>34576477
Are there any weird oddities with these kind of sks? Do they accept all ak mags and are remain reliable as fuck?
>>34576578
There are a few unique parts, the bolts are different in that they're skinnier and there's no slot in the carrier for stripper clips, for example.
All of my AK mags seem to fit just fine, but I haven't shot it. I anticipate it probably will be roughly as reliable as any of the AKs that have had their standard mags swapped out for stuff like >>34576406, which, in my experience, has never given me a problem.
There is no bolt hold open feature on the SKS-D or M either, it's sacrificed in order to use the AK mags.
Other than that it's pretty standard.
>>34576618
>any of the AKs
SKS's*
>>34576618
Intresting id love to get one but these crapco mags after a bit of modification seem to work well. I would probably go the ak-74 route as the sks will be my go to 7.62 rifle.
>>34576649
I've never been big on 74s but I have a couple of 7.62 AKs I rarely use, figure this will be a bit more fun and let me have an excuse to burn some of the 7.62x39 I've been sitting on.
>>34574097
>Is there such a thing as too many SKSs?
I know an old gunsmith who doesnt think their is.
He got rid of two SKS's out of his 5.
Then i traded him my Type-M for an AK.
Now he is about to trade his limited edition Elmer Kieth commemorative model 29 for 14 sks's.
he just loves them.
1 is too many.

Thank the Jews who lobby your politicians to enact protectionist laws favourable to domestic firearms manufacturers..
In Canada two years ago Chinese SKS's were 75$ Canadian
never
>>34576737
I would sincerely take an sks over an AK in a SHTF situation.
Considering yugos are non chromelined, are they still SHTF, take sks, go to woods approved
>Tfw saw a good looking sks at a show for $250
>With bayonet
>Didn't buy it
>Haven't seen one for under $300 since
>>34576962
Yeah
Got babbies first SKS recently, a matching '51 Tula. I also got two Tapco 20 round mags thrown in with it. How much should I list them for on Armslist? One is in the packaging still and one isn't.
>>34577856
the tapcos id say 30. id take em off ya if i could. They make good things to fuck with and i found you can actually make them work better sometimes.
>>34575312
What? Its a Yugo?
There are Two Tulas in there bruh.
I just bought my first SKS, a Tula in a shitty folding stock for 450. Aside from the stock I'm not disappointed at all, it looks pretty good
Where can I buy a wood stock for it though /k/?
>>34576962
Mosins don't have chrome bores and no one has a problem taking a carbine innawoods
>>34576318
take care of the wood on that stock, m8
>>34578649
That the plan, not sure where I'd ever get a replacement.
>>34578301
check ebay, they tend to have alot of stocks there. you are doing a good service by restoring that sks
should i get a chromed chinese parade SKS for $700
>>34578649
is it unfinished?
>>34576406
>tfw picked up a yugo m59 and didn't realize its significance because I was just getting into guns
I was pissed at first that it didn't have a gas system control
>>34575312
What? The painted one has the yugo grenade launcher, and a bayonet lug.
(*^_^)
s/k/s thread?
Could one remake something like pic related with an AK sidefolder and trunnion?
>>34578803
ty, I try my hardest
I also want to get some stripper clips and a sling for it, can I count on ebay for all that too? And pouches for the clips?
I thought a Russian one would sate my desire but now I still want a para sks, have I caught the fever?
>>34579173
I think companies still manufacture stripper clips today, so finding cheap packs of 20 should not be hard. A little pro tip is if you have a stripper clip that requires alot of force to push the bullets into the mag, just bend the little tabs backwards to lessen the force on the bullets and thereby make them easier to load. A lot of new stripper clips tend to have this issue. Slings can be found easily too. Pouches, you can use anything really. I say get a chink surplus bandoleer. You can hold 200 rounds worth of stripper clips and they go for about 20 burger bux on amazon. Also collect all the sks you can, get a type d/m, norinco, yugo, tula etc. Just be sure to shit post on /k/ if you ever find a legendary east german varient
>>34574097
>Is there such a thing as too many SKSs?
no.
>get 20 SKSs
>load them all up before gunfight
>proceed to pick up an SKS, empty it, and then throw it to a spot that is within view of your enemy
>pick up another SKS, and do the same thing
>continue doing this until you run out of SKSs
>then move onto the mosins
i guarantee you that the enemy will flee before you reach your 5th SKS
And he stopped off in Tushka at that "Pop's Knife and Gun" place
Bought an SKS rifle and a couple a full cases of that steel core ammo
With the berdan primers from some East bloc nation that no longer needs 'em
I have two, a tula and a norinco
would pick up a third if I came across one for a good price
>>34579378

Really enjoy my 1954 Tula, it's my first rifle and the wood on it looks different from all other SKSs I've seen, so it feels special :3
>>34579662
what state is that? hawaii?
Please help me, my bros. How much is the max I should pay for a good condition, all matching numbers SKS?
>>34574097
>tfw you could have bought a few really nice rifles, but instead you chose to buy ten low quality surplus rifles

Depends on the country, but I'd say $375
Anyone ever bringing their sks innawoods? How about bringing it hunting?
