Original complainer isn't wrong. Jaded maybe, but not wrong. Sure it would be nice to get "a piece of history" but at the same time why buy a old 45 for 1k if you just are going to put new parts in it? Just get a good 1911 for that much at that point. Double edge swords and such.

Whats wrong with a RIA one for 500 bucks? Isn't the point of the CMP to get people into guns that otherwise wouldn't or couldn't afford to? How does it achieve that by jewing people this hard?
