I am legitimately curious about this. I know when they first came out, they seemed to have an issue ejecting brass (them not ejecting very far, sometimes leading to FTE). Is this still an issue? Anyone have a critic on the mechanical characteristics of the gun?

It defiantly is not a Glock copy. It borrows more from Walther but is superior to both Glock and Walther in almost every way. By the way I own 3 Canik pistols including the best one pictured above the SFx and I also own 2 Sarsilmaz pistols also made in Turkey which are also fine firearms, although I wouldn't say as nice as the Caniks.

The sfx had some of those issues, but all the other ones have been solid from what I have heard. I haven't heard much negative stuff since the initial ejection issues, so I think they got it cleared up. They are walther ish guns so I don't think there is any inherent issues with them.

From all I've seen they are pretty good guns, I was thinking about getting a SF fro a while when they were like $270 ish, but I haven't seen them that cheap in like 6 months so I'll probably just get a CZ or a glock. My main thing with these clones from places like turkey,italy,serbia and slovenia is that you are going to be dealing with an importer if you have issues. Plus if you have parts breakage in 5 or 10 years, you very well could be stuck with a paper weight. With companies like glock and CZ, you at least know that you'll be able to find parts.
