I got interested to do innawoods STALKER challenge.
It is old as hell but still trying to do it on some level.

>Be me, just turned 18 and wanted to do something fun
>Bought a Pietta Remington 1858 repro and a Uberti Walker clone because I have a preference for pistols and had watched too many spaghetti westerns
>Want to go "camping" to clear my mind and get away from toxic friends
>Not hardcore outdoorsman shit, just chilling by myself in a tent out in Bishop shooting cans
>Load up truck and fuck off to nowhere
>Get to innawoods, find a turn off on the road, park car and fuck off again for about 4 miles
>Wow, this is a nice clearing, I like this clearing, it's got a tiny stream and relatively flat gravel
>It's mine now
>Fast forward a few days.
>Shooting cans off a log across the stream, trying to quickdraw on them and usually missing by like 5 feet. Just fucking around and having a good time in general
>Evening approaches and I clean out both revolvers and load them up for the night
>Tuck them into my pistol belt and sit down for a nap
>Start having a really disturbing dream. I was riding on a horse with a few guys through a settlement in the dessert that wouldn't have been out of place during the mid 1800s, dressed in some kind of blue uniform similar to the ones the other men were wearing.
>The settlement had been utterly razed, bodies were strewn everywhere and most of them were horribly mutilated. Blood was everywhere and I saw people's innards had been removed and specific organs pinned to the walls with knives, nails, and all manner of silverware in strange patterns.
>One of my buddies eyes turned black and started emitting black smoke. He panicked and fired wildly with his shotgun at the ground.
>One of the men went to shake him out of it and he buttstroked him with the shotgun
>The man who had tried to calm him down fell off his horse onto the ground and started screaming and writhing in the dirt now with his eyes showing the same characteristics.

I live in Britain, so there's no creepy innawoods stories. Though we did take all our airguns (shut up) and STALKER challenge (though we didn't call it that) at an abandoned dockyard once. Ended up crouching in an old boathouse and lit a fire. At about 1:00 in the morning some drunk/high chavs came upon us and saw 3 blokes squatting around a fire in raggy clothes clutching weapons that must have looked pretty real in the firelight because they started screaming how they promised not to tell anyone if we let them go, with one of them pissing themselves.

After they fucked off all we could think was pic related.

Hey this seems as good a thread as any to ask,

I've been working on an indie film for a few months now about 3 or 4 (if I can write a fourth character, kek) /k/ommandos inna woods hunted by a Skinwalker.

This is the creature design I MSPainted up real fast for the beast. It'll mostly be shrouded or hidden, but the costume design will look like this but 7 ft tall or so. Also with goat legs in specific shots.
Is this "Skinwalker" enough? I based it on those Navajo images of a man covered in animal pelts, as well as creepypasta descriptions on here.

Also if anybody has any experience in acting, special effects or filming, link me your Steam account. I'd be glad to involve you.

Hard to say. There is definitely a lot of overlap between skin walker and wendigos. But the skull and antlers theme I've only really seen with goat-man, and more often with the wendigo (that follow the corrupted cannibal man belief).

No one on 4chan can help, the "skinwalkers" this website talks about are a memed out version that don't even closely resemble the actual lore.

It's literally built on goat-man copypastas in the first place, and people will describe goat-men to you and tell you that's what a skinwalker is.

They also roleplay that they're real, and the stories are real 'evidence' of what they look like.

Nah dude you can only tell a skinwalker by keeping careful track of numbers and regularly interacting with everyone in your group. Skinwalkers hang out on social perimeters and observe humans, they like to integrate themselves into smaller tribes or units immersed in nature, never in cities. If you're out there with 15-40 dudes and chicks and spot a new face (although they're hard to spot because they model themselves on the people you've been keeping company with, so they're always gonna look familiar) not really interacting with anyone, moving around weirdly (think about how it looked autistic people moved in gym class), or coming in from/heading out to the woods, you might have caught yourself a skin walker.

Generally pretty safe outside of the American public lands desu. Also don't talk about them too much because (according to native bros, I think this may be bullshit) they for some reason are drawn to people who already know about them.


Trust me I've spent weeks in the woods and desert on the rez. The best way to avoid them is to go out in small groups, know everyone in your group, and be observant. I've seen some shit out there, I have to go to reservations a lot because I want to go into rural addiction psychiatry.

Natives where I've been are either bro tier or impossible to deal with.
