Aren't the Arsenal Strike (or Stryk, or however their spelling it) pistols pretty close?
>>
>>34569624
no
>>
>>34569453
You cant get them in US but the Steyr 9mm thats on the market could be an alternative you look into.

It looks kinda similar.

Thats because it's a Steyr M9 clone.

>>
>>34569830
Why are Russians the only people outside /k/ that care about the M9?
>>
>>34571221
It's not a very good handgun and Steyr is dumb. The striker design is inherently fragile, the sights are hot garbage, and while Steyr makes good stuff, they couldn't successfully market a cure for cancer.
>>
>>34571234
What's wrong with its striker?
>>
>>34569453
I want to fuck that gun
>>
>>34571250
It's not the strike itself, but something in the fire control group that is pretty fragile. It's not as if the gun is Kel-Tec quality, but it's still not reassuring knowing that some polymer part could break, I wanna say trigger bar? There are several complaints about the ejection, but I'm more skeptical about as there are some human factors that need to be accounted for there (e.g., not cleaning, Cletus & Co reloads being trash, etc) so I'm not going to bash the pistol on that. The sights are just...no.

>>
>>34571291
That is really strange, the one thing I would want polymer nowhere near is the trigger group. There's so many other places to save weight and, if anything, it's helpful for the weight to be on top of your hand. It could be a cost-saving measure. Too bad no one really picked up on it so it won't have a chance to iron that stuff out further than the A1 line.
>>
>>34569453
I was under the impression that they were still working to get a contract from the Russian military to mass produce them. No idea on the quality of this gun, but having the slide extend so far back is a e s t h e t i c and the barrel is almost in line with the index finger.
>>
>>34571529
In a weird way it seems like a great first 9mm
>built like a rock, probably has nonexistent recoil
>ultra-low bore axis, no muzzle flip
>slide starts so far back that no human being has hands fat enough to get webbing caught on the slide
>built for +p+ vatnikboolit, will probably forgive some cheap reloads
>long slide means easy target acquisition
>probably more things I can't see to idiotproof a gun meant for the Russian military

>>
>>34571207
Russia
>>
>>34571585
The story is that it's built to fire Russia's military's 9mm load which is about as hot as 9mm can get, almost as hot as 357 SIG. I'm sure the barrel would still have a very short life it that's all you fired, but at least you would be able to fire it.
>>
>>34569453
Put it to you this way, if you have to ask, you don't have enough money.
>>
>>34571618
It's really not going to be all that expensive.

It'll be mass produced as a sidearm for police, swat, military, and a slightly more expensive version for pro shooters, stalkers, and spetsnaz.

e.g. <$1000 USD

The only reason you won't be able to buy one is because of the ban on russian imports.

Since 2014, Kalashnikov Concern has not been allowed to import weapons to the United States, nor has it been allowed to profit from sales of existing KC firearms in the United States.

That pistol was released in 2015. If you are a United States citizen in possession of one, or know another citizen who has acquired one, please notify your local authorities. Note that if you fear retribution from any gun cult you belong to, you can do so anonymously.

Thank you for your time.

>look into roller delayed blowback pistols because me loves that action
>it seems like although HK is happy to miniaturize their G3 mechanism to 9mm for the MP5, they are not happy to put that mechanism into a gun that has the magazine in the grip
>find this pistol
>like the A E S T H E T I C
>like the action
>like that it's small enough to CC
>find out that even generation 2 of it sucks all of the dicks and jams constantly

Why is every fucking pistol on the market, bare the damn Hi-Points, a tilting barrel piece of shit? It can't be so hard to make a roller delayed blowback.
>>
>>34572778
If you honestly think tilting barrel is bad then the problem is likely brain damage.
>>
>>34572784
I just want something different. I was trained on the P8, an USP derivative, in the military and now I'm lookig for my first gun. USPs are horrendously expensive for no reason and you can't actually get the P8 on the civilian market it seems, so I'm looking into alternatives.

Do you know a gun that's accessible / easy to field strip and clean, hammer fired, has a decocker, crazy high trigger pull on DA and low on SA and perhaps small enough to CC? Optimally also cheap.
>>
>>34571336
Not the same gun
>>
>>34572805
My dick. I'm also a cheap date.
>>
>>34572805
Bro they already tried a roller delayed handgun, and it didn't sell for shit.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_P9
>>
>>34569830
No it isn't. They use completely different mechanisms.
>>
>>34571823
It's expensive in the US because import bans, dummy. You'd need to smuggle one in.
>>
>>34569453
Americlaps will never get to own this gun and it makes me really sad. I want it :(
It reminds me of the pistol from DOOM 3
>>
>>34572805

>>
>>34574167
When is H&K gonna cash that check their anus can't cash about not hating everyone and make the gun everyone really wants -- the P7 and P7M13 updated with full ambi controls and threaded barrels?
>>
>>34571234
>>34571291

None of this is true. They fixed the striker problem with the current Gen. Update your knowledge base and stop regurgitating outdated garbage.
>>
>>34574430
Ooo this looks nice, I'll look more into that. Thanks man!
>>
>>34574442
A new P7 would cost $1800 bucks from HK.

They will not be making more.
>>
>>34571529
>no idea of the quality of this gun
Well, let's put it this way. The demo gun they used for their big reveal at the arms expo was covered in rust and looked like it had been freehanded on a belt sander with a coarse belt.
>>
>>34571935
Hardly. The Russian 9mm SMG round isn't even up to 9mm Major levels.

They actually published official IPSC testing of it from a 6" barrel and it failed to make Major power factor, although barely. 9Major makes it from a 4" barrel.

based on your requirements, a Makarov sounds like a perfect fit.
>>
>>34574929
I didn't know that old piece of shit had a decocker... and Ammo's pretty cheap too. Not 9mm NATO cheap, but good.
>>
>>34574995
the safety doubles as a decocker.
>>
>>34575043
That's what actually gets used on service pistols as a decocker most of the time, was the same on my P8.
>>
>>34574786
I would like to see someone like Ruger do a polymer gas delayed blowback double stack. It doesn't need all the squeeze cocker mess (P7M8 owner here, its a novelty get over it), but would make for a highly concealable, low recoil carry gun.

>>
>>34572805
How about CZs and CZ clones? That covers everything but "small enough to conceal". There are still compact versions, they're just a little fat. The clones are pretty cheap (Tanfoglio, EAA, TriStar, maybe some others)
>>
>>34574929
Makarovs are pretty nice

Dunno what kind of ammo you'd use if you were to carry out though; you gotta pay for special dealer stuff if you want something good for defense use
>>
>>34580734
Bro, I was in the military. Rule number one is that you don't need to whine about muh stoppan power, if he isn't down just reload and keep plugging the fag till he drops, and then keep plugging him.

CZ RAMI is pretty easy to conceal.

And none of them are really that fat unless you get the fairly bulky rubber grips. Frame and slide is thinner than all the doublestack Glocks.
