most popular calibers in the US.
discuss.
Surprised .22LR isn't higher. Same with .38.
>>34566331
Source?
Is this number of guns chambered?
Or amount of ammo?
>>34566366
.38 special and 357 mag combined moves it up to 7th.
>>34566415
this is calculated by percentage of guns sold in which caliber in the US in 2013-2014.
>>34566465
I'd be interested to see how caliber preferences changed after the election. I don't get the impression that this is something they publish yearly though.
>>34566331
>.40S&W 6.14%
>.40 cal 2.07%
So 8.21%.
10mm is truly the patrician's cartridge not worthy of being wielded by filthy plebs.
>>34566465
>.38 special and 357 mag combined moves it up to 7th.
You could combine the numbers for .38 special, but not for .357 mag.
>>34566497
>>34566513
40 cal is 10mm tards.
>>34566531
I really doubt that 10mm is more popular than 30-06, 20 gauge and .44 magnum.
>>34566465
Sold by a few polled stores.
>>34566531
"No."
>>34566582
>7.7 jap
>no 6.5 grendel
What is this bullshit?
>>34566582
Damn, some other neat data there.
Glockfags BTFO.
>>34566675
Surprised California has more rifles than handguns.
>>34566582
>Carcano higher than 7.7 Arisaka
Weebs BTFO
>>34566331
#FakeList
I don't see data from Bud's Gun Shop
>>34566638
Probably because nobody buys 6.5 grendel guns, they buy upper parts.
>>34566331
is this list from round bought or by firearms sold???
i remember hearing the 38 spc is the most popular cal in the us. and it makes since because everyone has at least one Saturday night special
>>34566859
>>i remember hearing the 38 spc is the most popular cal in the us.
Fudds like to spread this folklore in order to make themselves feel better about their preference for shitty revolvers.
>B-but it can shoot TWO calibers, TWWWOOOOOO CALLIIIIBBBERRRRRSSSSSSS!!!!!
>>34566859
firearms sold.
>>34566331
>.44 magnum #15
>More popular than rounds that are more widely available
Calling bullshit.
>>34566979
I dunno man, I really like being able to put .45 LC through my Ruger Alaskan. Sometimes you don't need all that power.
>>34567162
Huh?
.44 mag is available everywhere.
Now, .41 mag/spec is rare, can't find that shit anywhere.
>>34567162
Several of the calibers beneath it are durr rahful cartridges that people buy one gun in their favorite caliber and stop, whereas .44 Mag draws people to it and once they try it they tend to buy more than one gun in the same caliber.
Also, handgun calibers are naturally more popular than rifle calibers, because there are far more places to shoot them, especially east of the Mississippi.
>>34566979
>shitty revolvers.
you sound just like a true glock fan boy.
>>34566979
>shitty revolvers
i hear ya bruh
keep talking your noguns religion
whilst i save up for pic related
btfo every pistol on earth
>>34566366
.22 LR doesn't cost much less than 9mm nowadays
>>34566686
It's easier to get a long gun than a handgun in CA due to the way the law is. Plus, go to any range and 80% of the people shooting have an AR-15
>>34566582
>7.62 Nato twice on the list
>#1 is nigger nine
I should have expected as much. They say AR 15 is most popular in the country, but that discounts the common stolen hi point
>>34566582
>.50 Beowulf above Tokarev
Wat
>>34568306
It's literally one more gun sold you fucking retard
>>34567221
.45 LC is significantly cheaper than .454 Casull. With the case of .357 mag and .38 special, the price difference is all of $1-2 per box most of the times. It's hardly worth getting so worked up over as fudds are wont to do.
>>34566331
Fuck your chart nigga
>>34566331
If it was Canada put .303 at the top and all the pistol calibers at the bottom
