No and no, if you even see higher pressure. Most of the 5.56 NATO in .223 Rem chamber testing is done with a SAAMI minimum spec chamber which absolutely no one reams production rifles to. You probably won't even see a benchrest .223 Rem rifle with a chamber reamed to SAAMI minimum spec.

I use .223 in a 5.56.
I am not even sure that .223 is not 5.56 because Fiocchi manufactures both and the cases are of the military type with crimped primers. So I may be using 5.56 in 5.56 gun. Whatever, it works.
Also I reload with .223 specs, because every tool you can find here is labeled .223. So I may be shooting .223 in a 5.56 rifle too.
This is why I choose a 5.56 chambered rifle, to not have to bother.
