The lightning is just their rifle and stock rather than using Hogue from what I understand, As for 6.5cm, it's apretty good cartirage and once you actually understand what it does, you'll see why lots of folks really reconsider vs a .308 or the likes there of.

I have a Winchester xpr and it's pretty tits for accuracy out to 200 which is the longest range around here. The stock is plasticy as fuck but other than that its got a great trigger and a smoother bolt that tikkas.

Yes. Cheap, poor quality, easily available.
Not saying the axis is mechanically bad or inaccurate, but by picking it up you wouldn't have too high hopes, mostly because of the stock.

There doesn't seem to be any differences between a regular 1500 and the lightning, since the lightnings are $300-$330 ish, probably would be cheaper just to trash the stock and throw a nice one on.
I don't think I'd like a HBAR since if I decide to do some hunting, a 22" HBAR would be pretty heavy, and I don't plan on doing super super quick shooting, so a light profile should be ok.

The stocks aren't terrible by any means, but the synthetic stocks are a little flimsy and not very sturdy (mine has held up for the past couple years of hunting, with no issues). But the hunter model stocks are good. It's just a common upgrade a lot of people tend to do after owning the gun for a couple years and deciding that they really like it.

What don't you people get, I've looked at the axis, every one I handled felt like shit, I don't like them. Yes they work fine at their intended goal, but if I don't like the fucking thing, I don't want to spend my fucking money on it.

Every other rifle under $500 that I've handled felt nicer and felt better to operate, the ruger american, weatherby vanguard (smoothest bolt by far I've handled), savage 11 hog hunter, savage 11 xp.

I want something reasonably priced but doesn't feel like total dog shit that I can shoot at steel plates at 600-700 yards, is that too much to ask?

Are you going to go bug people looking at glocks or M&P's and call them neckbeard's living in their mothers basement because they don't want a SD9VE that is "just as good"for less?
